ForeWord Clarion Review
...Martin Marmolejo has done a masterful job of collecting, organizing, and
distilling information in a volume that is easy to navigate. The breadth and depth of
Globalization suggests this book could be the single reference required for the reader
who needs to know more about any aspect of the global economy. -Barry Silverstein

About the Author

Martin Marmolejo holds an MBA from the University of Arizona and an accounting degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico. He founded MMA Global Investment Management and was a partner in founding the Mexican Association of Independent Investment Advisors, A.C. He is also the author of Investments: Practice, Methodology, Strategy and Philosophy. He currently lives in Mexico.

More About the Author

Martin Marmolejo is the founder and CIO of MMA Global Investment Management, a Mexico City-based global investment strategy firm established in 1988. Martin is also the author of Globalization: Opportunities & Implications, (now in its 2nd Edition), which offers an in-depth look at how our global mindset can be a positive force for transforming societies and lives.

In his spare time, Marmolejo has taught classes at a couple of universities in Mexico, and one from the United States. In addition to his teaching, he has served as a board member of numerous companies and organizations.

Marmolejo was also a board member from 1996 to 2010, and Chairman of the board from 2002 to 2006 of the Nacional Monte de Piedad (NMP) --a for-profit foundation, and the oldest financial institution in the Americas (a pawn-shop chain founded in 1775, Mexican market leader).

Besides achieving numerous breakthroughs for NMP (like embarking on an aggressive, self-financed expansion program that has been doubling the size of the organization every 30 months up to now), he had a wonderful opportunity to experience first-hand and learn from the global philanthropic and social entrepreneurship movements. That exposure provided him with some rare insights on a fundamental sphere of activity of contemporary society. Those insights, along with his experiences in governance, are an essential part of his approach to globalization.

Aside from running MMA Global Investment Management, Martin Marmolejo is the co-founder of IMA3 and is its current President. IMA3 is the body that certifies international investment analysts in Mexico.

Martin holds an MBA from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Format: Paperback
Martin's book has a new integrated view about investments and its relation to globalization. This book takes into consideration most potential areas for investment in the entire globe, a very rare case.

Martin makes a systematic analysis of economic, financial and sociopolitical factors that affect investments and relates them to the poverty dilemma that our world has to resolve in order to seek long term stability.

Huge amount of hard data should make this book hard to read. But Marmolejo somehow simplifies, puts facts and data in order so that it's good reading as well as excellent reference for people interested in making sense of the world today.
The subject itself infuses fear. Lose my job? My capital base? This book helped me accept that it's also a great moment of opportunity for the intelligent investor
