This is a promising product that didn't deliver. I plugged it in to charge the internal battery. The LCD display came up once, but after unplugging prior to installation, it failed to come up. I'll be returning this for a refund.

This timer arrived not working and following the instructions did not reveal a way to start it up. I plan to send it back

I thought this item arrived DOA. Nothing would show up on the LCD screen. I plugged it in overnight thinking it might need to charge - with no change. I tried all the normal buttons on it (including the reset (RST) button) and was ready to return it. I finally used a pen to hold down the "R" button for a few seconds and the LCD screen finally turned on. It has been working flawlessly since then (1 month ago).

It came with instructions, but I didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the instructions. If it wasn't for this initial problem I would give it 5 stars. It has excellent options, does exactly what I bought it for.

I bought five of these and am very happy with the functionality (they're easy to program) but one of the units died within two days of delivery and a second one died within two weeks. Both times the display went blank and the timer stopped working. (Both timers were plugged in all the time.)

Buying a timer for my Christmas lights was a good idea but finding this timer was great. I have my lights set to go on and off at a couple of different times throughout the day. I never have to worry about weather or not I turned the lights off before bed. The house is all lit up when I leave for work in the morning and again when I come home after work at night. For the first time I get to really enjoy them. I haven't explored the full potential of this timer but it has the capacity to handle a much wider range of chores with it's heavy duty capacity and it's twenty program ability. I am sure that I will use it all year long. For now it
has made Christmas a little easier to handle and a lot more enjoyable.

P.S. Plug the unit in for two hours to charge it and then push the tiny reset button on the front with something very small. This is what allows you to start the initial setup.
I just bought this item and I don't know about it's long term durability.
So far I love it!

This timer is easy to program. Has numorous event times.
For the price I doubt you could find a better simpiler timer.

I own 11 of these timers and could not be happier. Not one has failed or given me any problems. Very easy to use and very reliable.

I ordered 3 of these despite the reviews because I couldn't find any other 7 day timers on Amazon. I only needed two, but i figured that at least one wouldn't work right based on the reviews. Every single one of them was DOA.

I bought four of these and they're great! Easy to program with really flexible timing functionality. But the reason they're really great is that they're perfectly silent! Many of the traditional timers start to hum after being plugged in a while. This never happens with these. These instructions should be better to help with this DOA issue. Just press the reset button if you experience this problem.

I bought this even though previous reviewers complained of quality issues. My mistake. My unit would not transmit power to the outlet even when I used the manual override.

Even more aggravating, the packaging suggests it was a returned item. You'd think they would make sure it worked before reselling it....
