4.0 out of 5 stars Not much light - wires not connected inside
It is very dark - only 125 watts total, and with the dark shades, it's even darker. But - it's very pretty and looks great installed.

Ours came with the wires from the lights not connected inside the fixture. So we had to take the whole thing apart and re-wire it. Very annoying, but not hard to do. It was worth the $50 I paid for it, but only because we...

4.0 out of 5 stars Really beautiful, July 16, 2007
This review is from: Globe Espresso Five-Light Chandelier, Ebony with Pleated Gold Shades #6121 (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this for $60 with free shipping so it was a steal in my opinion! It's really beautiful! My only issues with it is that because the shades are a dark color it doesn't give off much light but it's easy enough to buy different shades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!, November 13, 2008

Others complain about the low wattage requirement. Did they not read the product details?

I've no issue with it. We used CFL candle bulbs which do kick out a bit more light in it but we also have recessed can lights so the chandalier does not have to be bright for us.

I wasn't looking for price but needed (1) black iron (2) cloth shades (kids upstairs would rattle the glass globes of the one we replaced) and I needed something larger for the space.

This fit the bill to a T. It was easy to install and compliments the room beautifully. And best part? I got it for $37 and change with free shipping. When I move from this house I plan to move it with me LOL.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great light! Very pleased with it!, November 2, 2008
This review is from: Globe Espresso Five-Light Chandelier, Ebony with Pleated Gold Shades #6121 (Tools & Home Improvement)
We bought it when they were actually marked down to [...]!! It was very easy to install. We have had no problems with it at all in the year we have had it. Still looks good, and we get a lot of compliments on it. After having it for over a year we still really like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Gorgeous, February 15, 2008

I bought this light last year when it was on sale, and I really love it. I'm not sure why some reviews say that it's not bright enough. I actually turn it down with a dimmer-switch during dinner. I had a professional electrician do the installation, so that might make a difference. I think it's perfect. I get a lot of compliments on it. When I tell people to guess how much it cost, they say between $300 and $400. I only paid $40.00, and shipping was free. It's huge, it's beautiful, and the upgrade has added value to my home. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular!, January 29, 2008

I bought this on amazon deal at a price of $40 (I guess) and it is definetly worth over $200 if I had to get similar one from Great Indoors...

It is spectacular and compliments my dining area and matched perfectly with my setup. You will experience less light with what they recommend (25Watt bulbs) but I installed 40W Energy Saver Bulbs and it lights up pretty well and worked as a great alternative. Not as much light as I would want though. If I can get 60W Energy Savers for candelbera base I would go for that. Energy savers consume less power and do not generate heat that could damage these mini shades. I personalized the shades with bead lace from Micheals and it looks real rich for an additional price of $12.

I am happy that I got this from Amazon and the quality of product is great. Solid cast iron with great finish and I had nothing to do other than putting it together and hook it up to ceiling.

It is better than the picture and if you like the looks and price you must buy this one.

we paid $42 for this, excellent product. only draw back is it can only take a max of 125 watts total but with five 25 watts lights i think the light is sufficinet.
