Save money!! but with some draw backs,

These light bulbs are a great money saver!! If you leave the lights on in your house all the time these bulbs are for you. They give off the same amount of light as regular bulbs using a fifth of the power but....They take a while to get going. When you first turn the light on its dim and takes about a minute to give off the full amount of light. Not great for 1/2 bathrooms which you go in and out of quickly.
But in the end its worth the extra money for these. You will save hundreds on your power bill in the long run

I agree that for half baths these may not be the ticket, but for everything else I think they're great.
If you've been disappointed with the harshness of most flourescent bulbs these will surprsie you. They provide a soft, warm light. I have tried many others and these are the best, so far.

These take a second or so to illuminate, which I kind of find a plus, not instant bright ligth. I enjoy the clean white light they give off. I bought 2 packs, one lamp did not work. Really not worth the energy savings to return the bulb. And even though these are compact, they will NOT work in all applications.
Since the one lamp did not work, I have questions about how long they will last.
