1 out of 6 ain't bad...,

This review is from: Globe Men's Castro Slip-On (Apparel)
I have purchased at least 5 other pairs of Globe Castros over the last few years. I've never had a problem with ANY pair until now. This pair started coming unstitched at the seam after not even a weeks wear. Amazon was extremely quick to replace them and I will continue to buy them despite this one bad-ish experience. Overall, they are very comfy and versatile and feel like I'm wearing slippers all day!!

Torn after half and hour of wear,

These shoes ripped where the tongue meets the side wall after normal wear of half an hour. Returned to Eastbay. Still working on refund. My son has a similar pair of globe shoes that ripped in the same spot after several months.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had. I missed the return window. Now I am stuck with this junk. 1)when you walk they sound like your wearing cowboy boots (loud). 2)the inside is NOT comfortable. It feels like wearing plastic shoes. 3) the foot opening is way to large, your feet slip out and they look like women's slippers.(i checked and they said "men's" ). Get some DC's. They are much better. (P.S. Who cares that they come in a cigar box? I would've preferred good shoes in a paper bag)

Globe Castro's are the most comfortable, nice looking men's shoes out there. These are the 6th pair I've purchased for family and they all love them.

This are made like a typical house shoe. Just be warned they run about a full size larger then I wear, so go bigger when purchasing. Other than that they are nice looking shoes.

Tweed Castros,

The tweed castros are very cool. Fidel would be proud. The box was pretty happenin too, designed to look like a cigar box. Sizing on these shoes i find to be very accurate. Well made, comfortable, seem to be durable.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my footwear, so I was timid when I bought these. I was afraid they would be too small, or too uncomfortable. But my fears where misplaced.
These fit perfectly, they're super comfortable, and best yet, despite me wearing them in mosh pits, and hiking, and running like an idiot, the only damage so far has been that the inside sole has started to show a little wear and tear. Otherwise, a great shoe, a decent price and a worthwhile buy.

I am a size 11R and I ordered the same. I found the shoe to fit like a size 10R. I sent the shoes back and requested a refund. I was worried that if I ordered a size 12, they may get it right and it would fit like a size 12...I didn't want to take a chance and possible waste my time.

They look good and are very comfortable. The rubber treads are fine for most outdoor use too. The cigar-shoe-box is also pretty cool. They keep my feet warm and dry. The stitching is my only minor complaint. Nothing has come undone after a couple months of use but I can see what other reviewers are talking about, you can expect similar stitching quality on other moccasins though. They run a little big...I wear a 13 shoe but the 13 Castro is a little bit large - my heel slides out pretty easily but I'm fine with that indoors. I would suggest getting one (or half) size smaller than your normal shoe.
