5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic way to introduce french and France to my kids!, June 14, 2008
By
This review is from: Globe-Toddlers Adventures in France! DVD (DVD)

I am a new Dad from France and I wanted to find some DVDs for my children to add to their French and to show them more about France, while in another country.
I bought the Adventures in France DVD, and my kids went berserk over it! They laugh and want to watch it repetitively. I found some of it funny too. The French speaker's accent is perfectly French. Also neat is the music played throughout the DVD. It is all French and refreshingly not just children's songs. Many classical songs are incorporated by Couperin, Bizet and our favorite in the DVD - otherwise known as the "Can-Can". I recommend this for any parent seeking to introduce their children to French or after observing my kids, any parent that wants their children to be entertained (and learn). I ordered Tot Talk's Adventures in Mexico DVD which is also in French, after seeing how much this one was loved.

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC DVD in French or English! My KIDS LOVE this., May 30, 2008
By
This review is from: Globe-Toddlers Adventures in France! DVD (DVD)
We loved this the minute we started watching it. The puppets are unbelievably cute and my kids particularly found the cow and mouse funny. They love the chicken/rooster's cocorico sound and always laugh. It is educational and I hear my kids repeating words. It is engaging and my kids both watch it all the way through every time. This is the preferred video in the house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another masterpiece of cultural (and child development) understanding, May 14, 2009
By
This review is from: Globe-Toddlers Adventures in France! DVD (DVD)
Along the same lines as their Mexico DVD, Tot Talk has this introduction to the culture, language, and music of France. It aims for a childrens audience with colorful, relevant visual stimuli, but never insults its target demographic. Sophisticated musical accompaniment from a plethora of French composers is abundant (though they seem to have omitted my favorite- Camille Saint-Saens, but I digress). Highly recommended for any one whose kids show an interest in or may contemplate travel to France. And a great resource for both teachers, schools, and school-related projects, too!
