I just wanted some fluorescent bug lights bulbs for my porch, so I chose the cheapest available. No regrets here -- they're no larger than a standard bulb, very bright, and very yellow. I'd guess there are 80%-90% less bugs on my porch now!

I wanted "bug bulbs" to use indoors during bug season so I could work at night w/out attracting critters. These are perfect! They are so tiny that they fit in all of my fixtures & because they are cfl's I'm saving on my electric bill!

I was having constant bug problems in my upstairs home office when working late nights (which is almost every night). Sometimes it was insane how many bugs got through my window AC unit. So I got these bulbs and have not had any bug problems at night. The only grip about them is that they are too dim! What not offer a higher watts models? Is that because too bright and it attracts bugs? Don't know...

These bulbs are very yellow, and much brighter than I expected. In fact, they're brighter than some of my CF white bulbs, but since the light is yellow, it's not too good for indoors. I purchased enough of these to keep my front and back porch lights on all night for extra security without the bugs. I highly recommend these for outdoor lighting if you don't want the bugs to come around.

This is your standard yellow fluorescent bulb. Works great.. it reduced the flying bugs on my porch by at least 95%. I live next to a giant field, so flying insects are always an issue here, especially moths, beetles and mosquitoes. This bulb helped a lot.

While the amazon description says you can enjoy the outdoors with these bulbs, they are not rated for weather exposure. Says so right on the bulb base.

However, I've used similar bulbs before on a covered porch and carport in Florida fog and humidity with no problems. But you might think twice before putting them in a fixture that is out in the rain.

What a difference on my porch now. I had another bug light before, but it still attracted many bugs and it was not very bright. This light cured both problems. I highly recommend it.

I've never had any of these yellow bulbs before, but this bulb gives out a lot of light, but we still have a few moths fly in every evening when we let our dogs out. Maybe they are not affected by these. We got a great deal on them so no real worries, but they aren't stopping bugs at our house.

There were always a ton of bugs by our porch light, that would bite us or get in the house when we we opened the door. Since putting in this light bulb the amount of bugs has dropped dramatically. I can count on one hand the number of bugs by our door now. The light is not super bright but it does the job. So glad I found this product!

I'm sure this will last long, and while I do have less bugs than a normal light, this really didn't help all that much. Oh well, good thing they were cheap!
