Glock Bench Mat

It is exactly like one of those rubbery foam mouse pads, except giant. It makes a nice surface for working on things. But the spongy material has a tendency to trap oil, but the top is somewhat oil resistant. And I assume certain solvents will dissolve the foam, so I am careful not to use my cleaners around it.

I'm not a big fan of black for keeping track of tiny little pins and springs, because they are usually a dark gunmetal color. The exploded diagram is handy and saves bench space.

I may get a second just to use as an impressive mouse pad.

First and foremost, I use this as a mat for cleaning handguns after the range. I've spilled a lot of cleaning solution on it, and it's absorbed and dry in no time. It's pretty well built, and hasn't begun to fray at all after two solid years of use.
In fact, since it's so absorbent, my wife uses it as a coaster. And after spilling coffee and soup on it, it still cleans up easily, and isn't sticky. It is really well made. The only issue is the stares some of my friends give me when they notice what is printed on what we're keeping the stains off the table with!

This mat is nothing really special other than it has a diagram of a Glock pistol and parts list to serve as the undermat of your work area when cleaning or inspecting you Glock pistol. All Glock pistols have the same parts diagram except for a few exceptions of rare fully automatic Glocks that are generally not available on a retail basis to the public. The mat is usefull in understanding the pistol, certain safety mechanisms and key contacts for parts and assistance. This mat makes a good and relatively inexpensive Christmas present that will be appreciated by someone who owns a Glock pistol. I have Glock 19 and use this mat as my work area for maintaining my pistol.

As a staple of Glock Ges.m.b.H., all products manufactured are of the highest quality. When I received my bench mat, I was very pleased with the material, screenprinting, and weight of the mat. The black of the mat is true and the white screenprinting is very precise. The rubber base is very thick allowing for a strong cushion between your firearm and the surface beneath it. I can definitely see the mat lasting longer than 5 years with consistent use.

It is a mat with a print :) BUT, works perfect if you want to teach yourself/your kids/your wife as to what gun parts (GLOCK) are called, what these look like and how they function. does exactly what it is suppose to do - teaches you names of the parts on your GLOCK while providing a good non-slip surface. If you have to tap a pin out - this works good too as it has a 'give'.

In years past, I've just laid down newspaper when cleaning my firearms, but I decided to try a mat to see how well I liked it. After its first trial, I can say that I love using this mat. It gives me a place to lay out parts and I don't have to worry about them getting scratched or sliding around due to the texture of the mat.

Ordered this after purchasing my first Glock 34. Very impressed by the quality and "weight" of the product. Plop it down on a smooth surface (such as a workbench) and it just sticks there, doesn't slide around during use. Informative parts breakdown leaves you with no doubts on reassembly. I also drag it to the side and use it as a mouse-mat when I need one. Accidently dropped my AK on it with the charging handle side down and it didn't leave a mark, +1 for durability. Spilled some lube on it and it soaked it right up without a trace, no dodging puddles. Definitely buy this if you need a semi-soft, non-scratching, durable surface to work on and don't wanna settle for a crappy "yoga mat" or cardboard.

Nice mat for working on your firearms or anything else that might harm the table that you are using it on. Doesn't mar wooden surfaces and prevents lubricants and cleaners from soaking through and attacking your work area. Would have given it 5 stars but as received the mat has a heavy chemical smell to it which eventually dissipated after a few months in the garage.

This mat is nice if you need something padded underneath a single handgun. But if you need padding for more than one gun at the same time, get something larger. Nice Glock nomenclature chart.

I was inspired by watching Hickok45 You Tube video's and especially his several on the Glock 19. The diagram will work for the 17 or baby Glock for a new user just as easily as the 19 since the fundamentals are so similar the same Glock magazines will work in a 17, 19, or baby Glock as long as you keep the same caliber to match the firearm. This is handy if you are doing work near your computer screen watching an instructional video while you clean. I would be careful to test some solvents in cleaning to ensure long term use of the mat. It does help keep parts from scratching wooden surfaces or getting too lost. Small plastic flat pans can also work on the mat to do things like solvent cleaning of a barrel and keep the mat surface cleaner. It does seem protective of surfaces and keeps some parts from rolling so easily around.
