First off, Gloria Estefan is just one amazing artist. Words cannot express how good she is. However, as a huge fan, I believe many other fans and myself would have rathered the tracklisting include a particular 4 more songs. This is my version of an improved tracklisting for this CD:

This would have been perfect. There is an ample 21+ minutes left to add music to this CD, but these 4 hits, among others, aren't here. Incidently, LIVE FOR LOVING YOU is my favorite, a huge hit that they still play on the radio, that isn't here. Maybe that's what really fueled my criticism. However, songs like CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM, HERE WE ARE, and I SEE YOUR SMILE, among others, truly make this CD 5 Stars!!!!! Don't these songs just make you feel like you're on some tropical island? Its so perfect its just amazing. No one has ever and will ever create music so versatilly (I hope I spelled that right) as Gloria Estefan.

Take my advice, get this CD anyway. And pick up copies of CUTS BOTH WAYS, INTO THE LIGHT, PRIMITIVE LOVE, and THE EYES OF INNOCENCE, eventually. LET IT LOOSE is the only predecessing album covered here, but you might want to get it anyway, since it has the album version of 1-2-3 on it. (THE REMIX IS HERE). The others have undispensable songs on them. Whether you get them used or new from AMAZON, they are worth the investment. One listen, and you will know.

This is one of my all-time favorite collections. This CD contains songs from the 80s and 90s that will bring back sweet memories. "Don't Want to Lose You Now", and "Anything for You" are classic ballads that told the world how talented Ms. Estefan realy is. This is definitely a favorite to add to your musical collection!

To Gloria Estefan, our world is a global village of sensual sounds, exotic rhythms, and passionate words. On "Greatest Hits" we get 14 eclectic tracks of well balanced, harmonious, music with a Latin edge. Four of these tracks were previously unreleased and are superb. "Christmas Through Your Eyes" is a daunting ballad for anytime of the year, about seing life as her precious children do. And the sassy "Go Away" will make you grin & waggle your finger at that naughty man of yours!

I remember when Ms. Estefan was not out front yet and their band, "The Sound Machine", played Ybor City at free concerts. I knew then, by the driving percussions, wailing horns & her sensual vocals--their rhythm was gonna get us all!

A superb addition for "best of" collections.

Gloria packs this album with lots of hit songs that sound just as good today as they were back in the 1980's and early 90's. "Don't Wanna Lose You", a song as perfect as possible, is included here with 10 other past hits. Three new songs here are top notch also. The only complaint I have with this album is that it should have included her awesome "Live For Loving You", from her "Into The Light" CD. But she more than makes up for it with all of her other gems that are on this album.

Great CD! IF you want to hear the songs that make Gloria glorious, just get this CD and you'll see. It has a great compilation of love songs as well as pop tunes that will get you moving. The radio doesn't even play all of these selections....

I really liked this compilation of Gloria Estafan's work. It combines exuberant, buoyant songs with soulful ballads all in one CD.

This is just nice music. You put it on, you listen, the evening goes nicer!

Gloria Estefan. No flashy names, no tricky dance numbers, no half-dressed music videos. Just straight up MUSIC that anyone can listen to! 'The Rhythm Is Gonna Get Ya,' 'Go away,' 'Get On Your Feet,' the list goes on and on! EACH song here is a hit, not just one or two. If you like to dance, this is for you. If you like to just sit and listen, this is for you. If you're TIRED of bubble gum music that changes with the tides, THIS is for you! Gloria's proven she's got staying power. Since her 'Miami Sound Machine' days, she's never looked back. Pick up this CD and find out why.

This is the Gloria Estefan CD to buy for her mid 80's to early 90's radio mega-hits. Fans of that era in her music will love this CD, because all of the ballads like "Can't Stay Away From You," and "Here We Are" are on this compilation. Plus, all of the ground-breaking dance hits are here like "1-2-3," and "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You." This "1-2-3" is completely different from the Let It Loose version, and I think the version on Greatest Hits is the one most often played on the radio. There's also four new songs at the end, well they were "new" at the time. :-) Among them are "I See Your Smile," and "Always Tomorrow," which became very popular, and both are uplifting. That's part of the reason I love Gloria so much. She's fun, has good messages, and a wonderful sense of humor. She's one of the most innovative performers of this time. Oh yeah, and her music is awesome too! I would recommend this for anyone who's a true pop music fan.

This compilation definitely belongs in every CD collection. Gloria's catchy pop/latin rhythms shows why she is such a huge international star. All of her big hits are here, from 'Rhythm is Gonna Get You', '1-2-3', to 'Get on Your Feet', but it does leave off key tracks like 'Bad Boy', and 'Live For Loving You'. The new ballads 'Always Tomorrow' and 'I See Your Smile' are very good and are valid reasons for fans who already own the other CD's to buy this set, but 'Go Away' is kind of a waste of space. However, if you only own one Gloria CD, this is the one.
