5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Ending to an Excellent Series

3.0 out of 5 stars Dramatic audio is the only way to listen to a book
This whole series was well done and used lots of the same actors so following the story was easy. This particular book seemed rushed and was done simply to wrap the story up and not leave any loose ends. Not what I had come to expect after the others but still not bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Ending to an Excellent Series, November 17, 2004
This review is from: Glorious Appearing: An Experience in Sound and Drama (Left Behind) (Audio CD)
Having read all the books and then listened in amazement to the entire Left Behind audio series has been extremely gratifying experience. The books themselves were terrific, but having the opportunity to have them read to you in such a dynamic, masterful way has made the story leap off the pages and place the reader in the middle of the action. These productions are vivid and awe inspiring and I would recommend them to anyone interested in being truely entertained.

Nothing compares to listening to the Left Behind series in the "experience in sound and drama" format. From Left Behind through Armageddon, I was scared, cried, angry and a wealth of emotions from listening to these books "acted" out.

So imagine the celebration I felt when I got to "Glorious Appearing!" Very well "acted" out by Rafe, Chloe, et al... It made me anxious for the day when I get to see the Lord face to face.. I especially loved when each of those who had gone through the tribulation had their "private" conversations with Jesus while He was hovering over the earth - everywhere at once.

You'll have to listen to the whole series, then this one, to really get what I'm finding it hard to express in words. :-) It is definitely worth the monetary investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Until Glorious Appearing Appears On The Big Screen..., March 25, 2006
This review is from: Glorious Appearing: An Experience in Sound and Drama (Left Behind) (Audio CD)
...this Dramatic Audio Theater version of the book will be the closest thing we'll have to it for now. Being that this is the first Dramatic Audio edition of any of the LEFT BEHIND books that I have owned, I have to say that the production values behind it were pretty good, even if some of the character voices sound a bit more comical, like those of Chaim Rosenzweig or Nicolae Carpathia. But overall, I'm impressed with what I hear, and I would like to get the rest of the books in Dramatic Audio format to get the full story from beginning to end.

(By the way, I overlaid a section of Mercy Me's "I Can Only Imagine" on the part where Jesus calls Rayford to meet Him. I thought it was rather appropriate.)

Its been five years since I first got interested in the Left Behind dramatic audio cd's and last night I finished listening to the Glorious Appearing and frankly I am at a loss of words for the experience I just heard. Listening to this CD has been both a joyful and saddening experience. Its been joyful because of the joy that comes getting to hear Jesus return and reunite the church his people, and also that Satan was finally put in prison and the Anti Christ and his false prophet cast into the Lake of Fire. Its been saddening hearing the dramatic presentation of the judgement and hearing all the unbelievers screaming their way into eternal separation from Christ. I tell you, this audio experience will give you a sinking feeling and drive you to have more compassion on the many lost unbelievers in your world that will be screaming their way into the lake of fire and eternally being separated from the Lord God.

What I did not like about this CD is the lack of some serious action and a good plot. Its obvious that this story lagged on far more than the original plan of 6 books. This CD had way too much laughing and the characters in this CD were way too comical to be realistic. For example the actors of the anti Christ's army portrayed themselves often as ignorant, weak, impotent, comical cowards. I very much doubt the validity of their portrayal of the servants of the evil antichrist I would have given this CD 5 stars but because of its lack of some serious action and a good story line I could not. This is most definitely not the best of the series, but its still a good quality CD, and powerful enough to rank in my top 6 of the series. None of the Left Behind CD's are of a poor or mediocre quality nature, but nevertheless below is my raking of the Left Behind series.

1) Left Behind #1

2) Desecration #9 / Appollyn #5

3) Tribulation Force #2

4) Armageddon #11

5) Nicolae #3 / Assassins #6

6) Glorious Appearing #12 / The Remnant #10

---------------------

7) The Indwelling #7

8) The Mark #8

9) Soul Harvest #4

At the foreclosure of Glorious Appearing the narrator says.

AND AFTER THESE THINGS, SATAN WILL BE RELEASED for A LITTLE WHILE.....

Could this mean that another book will be after the Glorious Appearing?

1.0 out of 5 stars Why continue to be deceived..., June 25, 2006
This review is from: Glorious Appearing: An Experience in Sound and Drama (Left Behind) (Audio CD)
Tim LaHaye, Jerry Jenkins, and others in the Pre-Trib circle, such as Ed Hindson, Tommy Ice, Chuck Missler, etc., continue to put forth the same deceptions that Hal Lindsey popularized decades ago. The notion of a pre-tribulation rapture is foreign to scripture, it is foreign to the teachings of the early Church, and it is grooming the Church for destruction through ignorance and lack of preparation for what is really coming. These men are novices and not prophecy "experts" or "scholars" by any stretch of the imagination; they are those who tickle the ears of gullible Christians. Why continue to be deceived? Tim Cohen, in his excellent book, "The AntiChrist and a Cup of Tea," provides biblically sound and testable evidence to show that the coming AntiChrist is known NOW. Not only that, the same author (Tim Cohen) has now put out the strongest presentation on the whole issue of the rapture EVER offered to the saints of God in Christ: "The REAL Rapture". If you really want to know the truth about the timing of the coming rapture, then you need to hear Tim Cohen's "The REAL Rapture" (based on a volume in his forthcoming "Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period" series (see Prophecy House's web site, prophecyhouse dot com, for details on these items).
