Another Winner,
By "kathybill" (Des Moines, Iowa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Oh My Glory [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Bill and Gloria always seem to come up with winning combinations for their "Homecomeing Friends" series of videos, and this one sure doesn't disappoint! Both Amy and Suzanne, daughters of Bill and Gloria, are featured on this video. Both girls are quickly becoming writers in their own right. Suzanne has written another verse to the song "Trying to Get a Glimpse", which is performed by The Cathedrals. If you are a Gaither Homecoming Video fan, you are sure to enjoy this newest video.

Live From Memphis - The Homecoming Friends,
By
This review is from: Oh My Glory [VHS] (VHS Tape)
"Oh, My, Glory" opened strong with "Love is Like a River" featuring Ivan Parker backed up by a number of the Homecoming friends. This concert was filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis in conjunction with the "Memphis Homecoming" concert and features many of the favorite artists well known to the Gaither Gospel audiences. My favorite numbers include those featuring Sandi Patty, The Gaither Vocal Band members, the Blackwood Brothers, The Hoppers, and Janet Paschal. A trio made up of Anthony Burger, Ivan Parker, and Kirk Talley received a standing ovation after singing "Glory Road." Another fast moving evening" Memphis Homecoming" with Bill and Gloria Gaither and the Homecoming Friends was filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee. The video features two full hours of music testimony and interesting highlight of the Memphis area as well as background on the cities' impact on the history of Gospel music. I especially enjoyed "That Glad Reunion Day" featuring James, Terry, and Jimmy Blackwood. Another favorite was a trio made up Guy Penrod, David Phelps, and Mark Lowry singing "Build An Ark." This is a strong fast moving concert with lots of background visits with the homecoming friends in addition to the inspiring music featured in the program.

This VHS never came. I wrote the person who was to have sent it. She said it must have disappeared in the mail. So I can't review the product like I would like to. I love Bill Gaither, especially the Homecoming VHS's and DVD's. I'm sure it would have been great if I had received it!!!
