A Kid's Review
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
I really liked this book, and it was the second I read in the series, I couldn't put it down. But now that I've read more in this series, I see more problems with this book. It's just that Glory winning his first race ever by 20 lengths is slighly outlandish, and something about Cindy just gives me a weird feeling. She's nothing like Ash and Sammy, and I know everyone's different, but she acts like her life depends on Glory's winning, and she doesn't seem to have a whole relationship with the colt. But it's still very good, and I reccomend it.

Very Interesting, December 1, 1999
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
This book kept my interest through the whole thing because there was so much going on. I figured in the end that they would figure out why Glory was so spooky? To me it never made sense. In #14 it left off saying that Glory was a wonderful horse and Cindy and him were excellent teamates. But in this book it started out with Glory shying all the time. And it never came clear in the end why he did. So that part was a little confusing to me. That was basically the reason why I gave this book only 3 stars. Yeah sure it's a little unbelievable that Glory won a race by 20 lengths, when he got a slow start and it was only a short race. But the book is fiction and it's not going to stop me from continuing to read the books. I'm the type of reader that pays attention to minor detail. But Mandy's age in #14 was 9. But in this book she was 8. What's it going to be? Another thing is the Pony Commandos. Horseback riding is wonderful for disabled kids. But I never suspected that they would be cantering, let alone jumping. That is a big step. And can be physically demanding at times. It seems to be an alright situation for Mandy. But it's unclear with the other riders. But otherwise this book was good. Just confusing and unrealistic and times.

Glory, the wonder horse, has started a snowball effect, August 3, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
Yeah, horses always win their maiden by twenty lengths and set a record. How very believable. I guess it's better than his winning the Breeders' Cup Classic by thirty-one, but come on! I don't care if he IS the grandson of Just Victory! Why are they putting us through this mush. Oh, dear, he had a hard run, but managed to GET AHEAD OUT OF NOWEHRE TO WIN BY AN UNPRECEDENTED MARGIN! I hate this book!

great again, November 7, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
This one was also great, but I must admit that Glory winning by 20 lengths is somewhat outlandish. I wish everyone would stop this "the next Just Victory" business too. It's so silly. But At least Glory got over his spooking, but Ben Cavell is kind off too fake like. Also, someone should help get Cindy off her high horse, and it's not Glory. But we also have to remember what her past must have been like. She was in tough foster homes, having to fight for what was hers, and no one wanted her ever. That's a very sticky situation. So give Cindy some slack. Also, please make these books just a little longer. they are my favorite series, I have 1-19 and 36.

A good book, August 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
I've just read Glory's Triumph and I think that the book was good, but not the best of all the TB books. Cindy thinks that Glory can be the fastest horse in the world. Cindy meet the trainer Ben Carwell who once trained Glory and he thought that Glory could become a fantstic horse. But Glory is afraid of something when he's on the track. Then after Wonders daughter Townsend Princess gets injured in a race which means that she will never get to race again Cindy is afraid that the same could happen to Glory. Cindy was in the #7 heaven after Ashleigh, or Alison which she's called in the Danish version, says that Cindy shall ride Glory when he's training, but after the acident with Princess Cindy can't consentraid about riding Glory. Will Glory ever get on the race track? Glory and Cindy have a special relationship almost like Ash and Wonder so he reacts better when Cindy is on his back. I like this book because Princess is mentioned a lot in it and so is Ashleigh, who's my favourite character. Ash and Princess also have a special bound. I like Samantha too but she's not mentioned so much in this book. I have read many other rewiews and I understand that Cindy become a little brat. Here in Denmark we only have frome number 1-15 because it takes so long time to get the books translated to Danish I think, so I'm looking forward to read the other TB books.

The ending is the downfall of this book, May 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Glory's Triumph (Thoroughbred Series #15) (Paperback)
A horse, I don't care if it's the next Secretariat, doesn't win it's first race of 6 or 7 furlongs by 20 lengths when you get off to a bad start and are far behind the leaders before the first and only turn, it is a short race mind you. They don't even go all the way around the track. This book was great until the end. If the writer could have had Glory win by a realistic margin, say 1 or 2 lengths, I would accept that. And it's true that if you want realistic go to the track, but in my opinion books about racing should be as realistic as the track. This one almost was but fell short in the end.
