4.0 out of 5 stars Good little time killer January 15, 2013

I am so tired of seeing everyone bash the FAOTD, so I'm here to give an ACTUAL review.(or if you don't believe me, go to Google play and look at ALL the positive reviews there for this game)

The game has a very simple interface, and after all the flashing lights and stuff on other games, it's a nice break. While I do wish there was maybe some nice relaxing music in the background, it comes in handy sometimes that it's quiet. I've started up this game in a boring class at university, when my husband has been sleeping, and even when I've been talking to that *one* customer on the phone that never stops talking, all without fear of being caught (though I always have my phone or tablet on silent when in class or at work.)

There are only 2 permissions, and neither of them have any way off trying to steal your information, which is another VERY nice thing in today's day and age.

So, overall, fun little time killer that there's no fear of it stealing your information. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish there was SOME kind of music and then the option to turn it on/off, but who knows! Maybe that will be in a future update :-)

Glow Puzzle is like several other Apps with same concept but it is still Good and slightly different.
Instead of Sliding Finger to connect the dots, you TAP ON DOTS and Lines are Drawn for you. I actually like this method of play better than dragging lines. It is not spectacular but Good and FUN anyway.
1. Tap control to draw lines is accurate and all other Controls work well on Xoom Tablet.
2. Graphics are Pleasant with black background and Colorful Lines change color when connected.
3. Sound Effects are Nice enough when connections are Right or Wrong.
4. Decent Menu with options for Mode of Play, Timer, Level Select and Memory style of play.
5. NO ADS, Annoyances or Intrusions in this version.

1. Could use some Pleasant MUSIC to add to Enjoyment and prevent Boredom.
2. Needs an EXIT Button to Shut Down Completely so we don't have to use App Killer to stop entirely.

OVERALL: I like this app enough to Replace the Free version of One Touch Drawing that I have now. This one has no Ads and Permissions seem safe and reasonable. It is a Keeper for me.

I got this as the free app of the day from Amazon today.

This should have been a 5 star app, but I will explain why I am giving this one only 3 stars below. But first I wanted to mention that if you are a fan of the Grabarchuk puzzle book series available for the Amazon Kindles, you will most likely enjoy this app. It is basically a group of puzzles where you simply connect the dots without tracing over the same lines twice. It is a very simple game to learn even for a child.

However, I am giving this one only 3 stars out of the 5 even though it should have been a 5 star app for the following reasons:

1. Levels have to be be done in a certain order. You can't skip to do the first puzzle on one the higher levels.

2. Undo Last Move button is inconveniently accessed though the menu button at the bottom.

3. There is a lack of a high score chart or number of moves counter to keep track of how many times it took for you to complete a level.

4. The hand in the memory mode throws you off when you are playing that mode. I found myself wanting to draw the line from the start of where the hand is when it is finished drawing!

5. There probably needs to be more levels for smarter players.

If the app maker addresses all those issues above, they would have a 5 star app in my opinion. But if you like puzzles, this is still probably worth the .99 cents when it isn't free.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Puzzle App January 15, 2013

I love apps that you think and work the noggin instead of swiping the screen like a maniac. While the graphics are nothing mind blowing it gets the job done. More importantly it's about solving puzzles and there are enough here to keep you buzy for awhile. The puzzles start off easy then they ramp up.

4.0 out of 5 stars good game January 15, 2013
Verified Purchase
i used to have the ad-supported version of this game and it's pretty fun. i don't know why people are saying it has no sound though. it totally has sound effects. not that they're very good or anything. i hate the "aaaaah!" scream it makes when you fail, as well as the trumpet fanfare noise it makes when you complete a puzzle. the clicking noise it makes as you connect the dots is ok though. anyway it's not bad for a FAOTD, but i got it before i saw the regular price so i can't say if it's worth your money or not. i think if i had to pay, i'd just stick with the free version until i got bored, and then i'd delete it and be on my merry.

I jumped at the chance to download this app when I saw it was free today. I can honestly say that I'm not disappointed at all. It's very challenging and a great way to pass time. I don't know why a lot of people are bashing it!? Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Euler meets games January 15, 2013
By Will 20

For the mathy description, you are trying to find an Eulerian path through the graph. The problem is, there is a really simple algorithm to guide you to the solution: look for a point that has an odd number of lines coming out of it and start there. No odds means start where-ever. Over half the early puzzles have a pair of "odd" points, so they get pretty trivial.
