This review is from: Gloster Meteor (A Foulis aircraft book: Super profile, F451) (Paperback)
This book is old, published in 1985, but the Gloster Meteor has long been retired, so little has changed. The Meteor was developed in WW2, saw combat, and lasted until the early 1950's in British service. It was a successful design, popular with the pilots but could not keep up with the fast pace of change in aircraft technology of the '50's.

The author gets a lot of information in 54 pages. Line drawings, clear photos (black and white as well as some color), statistics make this a good primer book for aviation fans or modellers. It is similar to Aircraft in Action Series of books in amount of detail and a nice addition to round out your collection. The newer Aerofax book will be more comprehensive, but this book is easier on the wallet.
