4.0 out of 5 stars The Glucose Revoluton - A good basic diet plan
I learned how to eat and got rid of the constant food cravings. The weight did not melt off as I have only lost 5 pounds in 3 months. This is more of a practical "how to eat" guide than a diet. I feel better, have more energy and I'm loosing weight slowly but surely. I do not feel deprived and can see myself eating like this indefinately.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing and Contradicting...
I puchased this book after my interest grew for Low GI diets as a result of reading SugarBusters, but I was greatly dissapointed after reading this small confusing book. First it takes you on a small trip back into the 90's with a slanted emphasis on low fat instead of low carb which makes no sense since most people picking up this book have issues with a high carb/sugar...

I puchased this book after my interest grew for Low GI diets as a result of reading SugarBusters, but I was greatly dissapointed after reading this small confusing book. First it takes you on a small trip back into the 90's with a slanted emphasis on low fat instead of low carb which makes no sense since most people picking up this book have issues with a high carb/sugar diet. Then it lists food on one page as a "Hi GI Food" and on another page as a "low/intermediate Gi Food".(cream of wheat for one) And really, snickers bar as a mid afternoon snack...really?)I read book and came out more confused and hopeless. I need help!(and my money back).

A handy little book. I will probably give it away for a gift. If you have the book "The New Glucose Revolution you really don't need any of the other GI books. Lea

I am very satisfied with this book. I learned a lot from reading it. I recommended it to some of my co-workers, and would recommend to anyone who want to learn to eat better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Low GI or Low Fat?, November 8, 2009

I bought this book a couple days ago and have finished reading it already. Somehow I got the impression that the authors put the words "Low GI" in the title just to get it to sell. I found this book to be very confusing as it mostly talked about how important carbohydrates are. In the end it is all about eating low fat and high carb. The "success stories" all point to eating low fat, not low GI. I was not convinced, from reading this book that the low GI diet works. It seems that this book was written by proponents of high carb low fat. If you are new to Low GI way of eating and you read this book first, it may just make you believe that Low GI is a bunch of BS.

I would not recommend this book.
