When I first saw an add for this item it was love at first site. Problem was that no one, I mean no one knew where to get it. My LSS did not have any way to order it due mostly to the fact that we could not find the manufacturer or a supplier. I looked for a good three months when finally I found it!
It was black friday 2008 (my birthday) They had the entire set the gun, permatac, high tack and repositional all for the low price of around $15 and on black friday it was a two for sale. So yeah I ordered it!
They came in I gave a set to a friend for Christmas and then took a class from Lance at Rusty Pickle.
I found during this class that the amount of adhesive did not go as far as I had expected. I did not comparison shop so when I went to purchase more off the LSS floor I compared.
The gun holds the same amount as a regular Tombo or Herma runner does. around 40ft of the perma tack. The high tack however holds 62ft. I wrote to the company and they replied to the issues I brought up. The adhesive itself has a stronger tack/holding fourmula than the competitors so you use less. I have applied their suggestions and found them to be right.
So yes I would recomment this item. It does not get stuck, pull out, gumm up, or any other of the annoying things the small unners do. No it is not the ATG but who wants to haul that thingto a crop. I found this the perfect size and it gives me great control, better than the smaller runners as the glue is exactly where I expect it to be when I set it on the item I want to attach.
Try it you wil like it. the refils are becoming available at more stores and the web site itself has sugestions and resources for their product too.

I have tried many different tape runners, and eventually bought and love the Pink Scotch ATG. I got this at a scrapbooking expo last spring along with three separately purchased cartridges. I was very excited by the ease of loading it and the strength of the adhesion, but was very dissappointed to discover that every one of the tape cartridges soon jammed and was unusable after only a few feet of use. Save your money, go to Michaels with a forty percent coupon and buy the Pink ATG which comes with two rolls of excellent tape.

I purchased this item after watching a demo on a crafting website. I loved that it was easy to use and is ergonomically friendly.

What I don't 'love' about it is that if you're trying to put adhesive close to the edge of your crafting project, you have to pay close attention to where the adhesive is placed because the 'channel' in which the adhesive strips roles allows for some flexibility and doesn't always stay in the middle to allow for a perfect straight line.

It's absolutely perfect for adhering paper crafting projects and the like. I would certainly recommend this item to any crafter. I will purchase the item again for sure.

I had a lot of trouble with this gun and cartridge system. I felt like I was getting a workout when trying to make a scrapbook page which is ridiculous! I too had brand new cartridges that wouldn't work. They would get stuck, slip off the paper, I would have to manually advance the adhesive, etc. which made me crazy. It shouldn't be that hard to use adhesive and make a scrapbook page honestly. So after almost throwing the gun and cartridge at the wall, I called GlueArts and explained my frustration. Jennie was great. She asked me if my tape covered most of the blue rolloer or less than half. I told her most of it. She then responded by telling me that my cartridge had been recalled because the glue dots were building up in the gears causing it to jam. Unfortunately she said that most of the stores did not receive notice of the recall and were still selling the 3/8" cartridges. She said that she would replace the bad ones I had free of charge and would ship them out that day. Low and behold, a few days later arrived a box with the replacement cartridges and a return label, postage paid, for me to send her back the bad cartridges. If you get a bad cartridge, call Glue Arts and they will take care of you. I am very happy now with my gun and cartridges and will continue to buy them!! TIP: Before buying, make sure that you are getting the 1/4" not he 3/8". Another bonus is that the 1/4" cartridge in High Tac comes with more feet of adhesive! Woo hoo!!! This tape gun is the perfect size: big enough to hold lots of tape but small enough to work easily in my hands and on small craft projects. The tape is also very sticky, and I've had no problems with it holding up. Finally, I love that it's reusable and the price is great! Overall, it's perfect!

I do enjoy this glue runner. I was told the condition was new, however the packaging was opened, and I'm pretty sure it didn't last for 40 feet worth of adhesive. I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't not receive exactly what I expected. Aside from that, the product, itself, is great!

I bought this bc I was appealed to the amount of adhesive available and I would hopefully be buying less refills. This is VERY, I repeat VERY difficult to use. Upon using it the first time, the cartridge jammed and I had to remove it from the handle and apply myself by ripping the tape to fit my picture, rub the adhesive on, and then peel back manually. My husband finally rigged it up to use again but you have to apply a LOT of pressure and the ease of use is nil. I bought a refill and thought this would cure the problem. No luck there. It was still VERY difficult to use and the amount of pressure you have to apply to get the adhesive to apply is ridiculous. My husband laughs and says I'm getting my workout simply to create a scrapbook page. Not funny. You also have to advance the tape EVERY time you use it so that it will begin to adhere so that you can roll the tape. Hence, I'm wasting adhesive every time I use this. I would LOVE to return this and buy another brand but unfortunately this was a Christmas gift. Do not buy this. I would NOT recommend it or purchase again.

I purchased this roll on glue for scrapping. I'll say it's fine as an adhesive, but I have alot of problems with the glue applicator slipping when you first lay it on the paper to apply. I suppose it depends on what type of paper you use. I have used several of these types of glue rolling applicators and are not happy with any yet.I have had problems with the tape breaking, the glue on the tape dries out, I guess it's just not my thing.
