Too bad these guys fell victim to "star fever" after releasing their first major label effort (purplemetalflake etc.). Anyway, this CD is proof of just how good this Denver (CO) band was at its peak. I still fondly recall many nights when Fluid set fire to the Mile High night scene. Rock on!

The Fluid is one of the most palatable early Sub Pop bands, blending up-tempo 70s-rock riffs with catchy pop melodies. They sound very much like Bleach-era Nirvana (in fact, the two bands released a split single on Sub Pop). If you are seriously interested in the late 80s Sub Pop sound, the Fluid is a band to check out (even though they are from Denver, not Seattle!)
