Surprisingly Wonderful, February 8, 2011
This review is from: Gluten Free College Student Cookbook: 201 GF/CF Recipes for Campus Cooking (Paperback)
I have a hard time keeping weight on at school. I have a fast metabolism and, sans gluten, my "freshman fifteen" ended up as a negative number. This cookbook has been wonderful. Because of it, I now have a rice cooker in my dorm room and can feed myself at all hours of the night. I grab some veggies from the dining hall, some noodles from my room, and I'm in business.
The recipes are very clear, well-organized, and (best of all) need little to no prep work. Yes, some of the recipes are for trail mix type items that seem common sense, but, when a teenager starts freaking out about feeding themselves for the first time, sometimes a cookbook like this is just what they need.
Not the holy grail of GF teenagedom, but certainly recommended.

gluten free?, November 12, 2009

Several of the recipes call for soy sauce, without any warning that soy sauce is NOT gluten free. I would carefully check if the recipes are actually gluten free.
