1.0 out of 5 stars Beware, some gluten ingredients!! November 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book at first glance has some good recipes....but there are way too many errors. I made the Cinnamon Pumpkin cookies and they were good, but the recipe never said when to add the dry ingredients. Since these cookies were good, this book gets 1 star. BUT, this book could be dangerous to people with Celiac disease if they don't realize they cannot eat barley flour, which is an ingredient in one of the recipes. I also made the Coconut Macaroons, but there must be some missing ingredients because they just made a giant puddle of sticky coconut mess on my baking sheet. Please beware if you purchase this book, many errors in the text, including duplicate pages and recipes, and some gluten ingredients.

1.0 out of 5 stars Irresponsible to label this book gluten free!!! February 6, 2013
By N Mink
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book should not have the words gluten free in the title!!! It is completely false. Some of the recipes call for barley flour which is NOT gluten free. I would hate to see someone get sick due to this author's false title!!! Very disappointed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm..... December 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
These are supposed to be gluten free recipes but I kept seeing barley flour in some of them. Barley isn't gluten free. There are some good looking recipes in here but they'll have to have substitutions made for the barley.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a Gluten Free cookbook February 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is not gluten free. The recipes may be wheat free (provided you can find wheat free versions of some of the ingredients) but it's certainly not gluten free.
Please, at the very least, do not use the barley flour listed in some of the recipes.

2.0 out of 5 stars New to GlutenFree March 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
but I'm not going to buy the strange ingredients just for some occasional sweet! I found one recipe I got excited about the cookie and the ingredients were fine but then I looked at the instructions and gave up.....

They do look interesting for some gourmet type and or desperate sugar addict to get their drug of choice.

3.0 out of 5 stars barley flour is not gluten-free, ??? December 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While I have yet to try the recipes & most look safe, one recipe calls for barley flour, which can't be gluten-free. Wheat, barley & rye ALL HAVE GLUTEN! I do appreciate the recipes & will be sure to try them. Readers, however, should know what to avoid if, like me, you must eat gluten free or be sick.
