Book Description

Gluten Free Desserts To Satisfy That Sweet Tooth

Do you need to eat a gluten free diet due to having Celiac Disease or being a Paleo Diet fan? Do you wish you could enjoy the desserts your friends and family do? Well you can with a few small tweaks.

Where there is a will there is a way as they say and "Gluten Free Desserts" is an example of that. Being a lover of desserts and one who wanted to watch her gluten intake Charity decided it was time to start testing. There were many failed attempts at making her favorite desserts gluten free (don't worry, they are not in the book) but she finally created 50 worth writing about.

Gluten Free Does Not Limit You

Granted learning to eat gluten free can be quite the chore. Learning how to read labels and watch for secret hidden gluten containing ingredients can make it feel like you need a degree in some type of science. Who makes words up like:

  • Triticum vulgare (wheat)
  • Triticale (cross between wheat and rye)
  • Hordeum vulgare (barley)
  • Secale cereale (rye)

Well don't worry about all that now. You can confidently make yourself some delicious gluten free dessert tonight. Take a label reading sabbatical for the night. Invite friends over to help you eat the Double Chocolate Mocha Cookies you will be making.

Go ahead and knock their gluten eating socks off with your gluten free master pieces. There is a misconception that gluten free eating has to be bland and you are about to crush that myth. Your friends will never know what hit them and their stomachs will thank you for it.

You Control The Gluten Now

The great thing about making your own desserts vs. buying from the store is that you know exactly what went into them. You do not have to guess at whether or not that bite of brownie is going to end in a night full of unwanted trips to the bathroom. You are in full control when you are the one in the kitchen. Actually make your husband do it but you get my point.

You do not have to give up on the sweeter things in life when you have recipe books like "Gluten Free Desserts" in your digital cupboard. Head out to the grocery store, grab your gluten free ingredients and get baking.

Some Of The Recipes You Will Find Inside

  • Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies
  • Caramalized Pineapple With Coconut Sorbet
  • Grilled Peach Sundaes
  • Blueberry Cherry Crumble
  • German Chocolate Cake

There are so many awesome gluten free dessert recipes waiting for you inside that there is no need to delay you any longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, easy to follow & delicious GF recipes June 18, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease nearly eight years ago, I've had a love/hate relationship with cooking. It's been a while since I've been truly excited to get back in the kitchen, try something new & have fun. So many other cookbooks take the realism out of preparing yummy homemade treats by using weird, hard to find &/or expensive ingredients.... all of which, makes cooking a chore. I really love this cookbook because it's simple, easy to follow & the recipes are fantastic (personal favorite: The Flourless Chocolate Cake). Thank you Charity!

5.0 out of 5 stars A good dessert cookbook May 21, 2014

What I liked about this one is unlike other gluten free recipe books, you can make these recipes without having to buy some weird exotic brand of gluten free flour for all of the recipes. So you can create these a lot easier, straight out of the kitchen using your existing ingredients, and that's really helpful to me.

Some of the recipes sound good but unfortunately they are seem to require dairy products. Many, if not most people you suffer from celiac or gluten sensitivity also have problems with dairy. And if they don't seem to have problems with dairy they should still not be eating it for two reasons: 1. dairy product in the U.S. are genetically engineered and are harmful, 2. the genetic structure of gluten and dairy are very similar (along with soy, another genetically engineered product) so that the body doesn't differentiate the difference causing further harm to the intestinal tract. So I am most disappointed in the book

Baking gluten free anything is much different than "regular" baking. It's not nearly as easy, but with some minor adaptions it can be done and be done well. This Ebook gives you a wide variety of gluten free recipes to choose from. I enjoyed reading it and getting a few more recipes for my arsenal of cooking!

More About the Author

Charity is a genuine home body. She loves to stay in the kitchen and cook while keeping a clean and organized home. She also loves writing about the recipes she comes up with trying to please the palates of her family. They have had to endure the failures so you don't have too.

She plans on continuing to release more recipes books and anything related to making fellow stay at home mom's lives easier. If you think she is an Ellen DeGeneres watching couch potato think again. O.K. admittedly Ellen is the one person she makes T.V. time for but that is it.

She has 4 beautiful kids and a husband who works out of the home. To say everyone is in each other's business is an understatement but they love every minute of it. She enjoys making healthy snacks that are ready for her kids when they come home after a day at school. She gets to hear firsthand how their day went and cherishes that time.

She ensures meal times are healthy but there is always room for having a great tasting no holds barred meal at least a couple times a week. That is what makes living so much fun.

She is as real life as it gets experiencing the same daily time crunches and chaos any family does. Her focus is on raising her family and authoring books people enjoy and can apply to their lives to make them easier.

She loves the life she lives and hopes you do too.
