5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, quick, healthy meals good for the whole family November 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This book takes all the guess work out of making healthy meals that the whole family can enjoy. All the recipes are made from scratch which is the best option if you want to look after your kids. You never know what junk is hidden in packaged foods so it's best to avoid them if you can. These recipes are quick to make and have loads of classic healthy versions of foods that kids just adore. It's one of the best books I own and I have got so much use out of it.

3.0 out of 5 stars great recipes, but... April 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This cook book has some great and very doable recipes along with helpful information about eating healthy and gluten free. What held me back from giving it five stars was the fact that there were several sections where a description didn't match a recipe, I.e. Where the citrus smoothie said you could add yogurt or almond butter, but they were not listed in the ingredients as these add-ons were actually for the next recipe. I also found the section referring to soaking nuts and grains to be a bit disjointed. I also found that what looked like possible internet links did not work. Overall, I would still recommend this book. It does have great recipes, but it just needs a bit of editing by the author to fix some typos, cut and paste mistakes and any broken links.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book August 27, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I love this book. It is so helpful with all the information it contains. The recipes are great and why reinvent the wheel when it is done for you.

It is great to be able to make treats that are treats and not an excuse for cardboard. Store bought gluten - free is so expensive and I shudder when I read the labels.
I have had two occasions to have an e-mail conversation with Tracey Black the author. She is prompt at replying and bends over backwards to be accommodating and helpful. You will enjoy this book for sure and put it to great use.

This book is a real treat for our family. The tips and reasons for gluten free have been insightful and written so that my children understand. And my picky little boy is enjoying Chapter 4!

We are enjoying the recipes from breakfast to dinner and appetizer to dessert! Even condiments. A great go-to. Highly recommend…just may need a printed copy soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book for Healthy Gluten-Free Families! April 19, 2014
By Hannah
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've been following Tracey Black's awesome blog Don't Mess With Mama for a while and she always has awesome recipes and articles. This book is no exception. It's filled with great healthy gluten free recipes.

The thing that I love about this book is that it's not filled with gluten-free junk food! Just because it's gluten free doesn't mean it's healthy and this book really focuses on healthy clean real food that is also gluten-free.

This book is perfect for families who want to clean up their diet. It has tons of information about switching to a real food diet including focus on healthy fats, soaking/sprouting and fermented foods. The recipes are not overly complicated and most of them are kid friendly and easy to make. I can't wait to make the zucchini hash browns, pumpkin bread and the almond butter chocolate chip cookies, yum!
