5.0 out of 5 stars the perfect pizza
I have tried so many gluten-wheat-dairy free pizza doughs and they were tough or totally fell apart. Most of the store bought ones I tried tasted
like cardboard. This was perfect I used soy mozzorella cheese and goat
gouda and sheepsmilk pecorino romano. It made a great white pizza.pg66
I've also made the cornbread pg24 very good.I made the rich piecrust...

2.0 out of 5 stars Many recipes are not gluten free - they show you how to adapt it to be gluten free
I got this book as a gift. I was disappointed to see that many of the recipes are not gluten free, but instead there is a blurb on the bottom of the page that tells you how to make it gluten free. I expected all of the recipes to be dairy free, wheat free, and gluten free but they weren't.

a peach pie, and a dark chocolate and raspberry pie, Both turned out great,
very good book although I'd have to say the this Book is definately for
someone who likes to cook and is not looking for a quick fix,but in my estimation well worth the money and the time.

I wanted an cookbook that didn't use wheat flour, dairy products or eggs. There are a lot of eggs used. The recipes are more complicated that I want. I will be returning it....

1.0 out of 5 stars Fancy Recipes, Not For Autistic Cooking, December 26, 2009
By
I don't know where this author gets her "dairy free margarine" but I can tell you the dairy free margarine's that I've found, have either casein or corn in it, two ingredients you can't have if you have autism. If you're getting this book because of an autistic diet, don't get it. I'm good at altering recipes, but I found I couldn't do that with these recipes. The other thing is, the recipes are fancy. Not my style of eating. I'm disappointed, as this was a Christmas gift that I'm going to return.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this cookbook!!!, January 19, 2012
Up to now, my experience with books designed for people with food allergies has been that so many of the recipes look like a compromise and at the same time seem to require so much effort to produce. What I love so much about this book is that, for a minimum amount of work and time, I have been turning out dish after dish that looks great and tastes fabulous. Seriously, the Asparagus Frittata took less than five minutes to prepare; Ginger Chili Tuna eight minutes' work (OK, not including marinating time) and it looked and tasted like a restaurant meal. At the end of my day, when all I want to do is collapse with a huge glass of wine, I am so delighted that I can also put together a stunning supper for my family with the minimum of input. Not only that, the recipes are so good I am confident in using them for entertaining, too. I'm gradually working my way through the book and have already added the author's next book, "Simply Gluten Free and Dairy Free" to my wish list.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some excellent recipes in here, January 1, 2012
By
I take the point of many reviewers that not ALL the recipes are gluten, wheat and dairy free but how often do you cook ALL the recipes in a cookbook? This one has some excellent recipes in each of the advertised categories. The ones I've tried produce such good results that people who don't have food intolerances gobble them up and ask me for the recipe or a repeat performance for the next occasion.

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT a Family cookbook, December 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This cookbook looks like it has some great adult recipes, but it is by no means a FAMILY cookbook. My 2 yearold and 4 year old are both gluten free and dairy free so we bought this cookbook looking for fresh ideas for the family to eat. What 4 year old is going to eat herb omelet with creamy mushrooms, smoked salmon pate, asparagus frittata, chicken farci with pea and mint puree, the list just goes on. I can't get my husband to eat these things, much less a 2 or 4 year old. If you are looking for "family" meals I would look elsewhere!

I had originally borrowed a copy of this book from someone. I decided to buy my own copy because the recipes were good.
