These gluten-free recipes are fantastic! I could not believe I was eating gluten free. Some of this stuff tasted better than the best "real" cakes I have had, and everything I tried was truly delicious. Highly recommended! I also found the publisher's web-site, SureTalent-Books.com, Gluten-Free & Wheat-Free Gourmet Desserts and now have a print version for myself and a friend that also prefers printed copy.

I'm so excited to see that this cookbook is now being offered as a kindle book! How wonderful! I've had the hard copy for quite a while and have been so happy with the quality of the recipes and how accurate and helpful the pictures of each recipe are.

I've often tried out the cakes, cookies, and other goodies I've baked from this cookbook on friends and family who are not on gluten free diets, and they can never tell that what I'm feeding them is gluten free! It's clear that whoever came up with the recipes was unwilling to sacrifice taste or texture when coming up with gluten free recipes--the cakes are moist, rich, and textured like a regular wheat containing cake, and the cookies, biscotti, and other goodies I've tried all live up to their wheat containing counterparts in taste and texture.

Given how expensive commercial, pre-made or boxed gluten free products are still, and how low quality many of them are, this cookbook is a really great deal. You'll be able to make tons of really satisfying food. And, with the recipes ranging from really easy to moderately challenging, both the most practiced and the most unpracticed cooks can find cooking satisfaction in this gluten free desserts book.

Bottom line is that this is a great gluten free cookbook. I recommend you try everything, but especially the prize winning carrot cake...YUM!

I recently found out that I am sensitive to wheat products and began trying out various gluten/wheat- items at health food stores. Not only were they expensive, but they didn't taste like the real thing. The selection was limited and often tasted like cardboard. But then I came across this book.. even my fiance, who doesn't have a wheat/gluten allergy, couldn't tell that he was eating gluten-free! I'm working my way through the book. So far we've tried the cheesecake, the lemon berry upside down cake, and the brownies (don't cook them too long or they'll dry out. We did that the first time since we didn't realize our oven runs hot and just had it with ice cream - still delicious). Amazingly, we were able to find all of the ingredients at our local H.E.B (grocery store) and didn't have to go to make the drive out to Whole Foods.

Love this book. It really made the transition from eating gluten-free less painful and more enjoyable.

There is a full size color photo for every recipe. The great thing is when you follow the recipe, the product looks just like it does in the book! I hate cookbooks that have recipes that look great and your finished product looks nothing like the picture. I have made the carrot cake, lemon blueberry bundt cake, chocolate torte (pictured on the cover) and almond biscotti. Not only can I not tell it's gluten free, but it tastes much better than other wheat desserts I have made in the past. I have multiple gluten free cookbooks and this is my favorite by far. In the introduction Michael discusses the problem gluten free folks face such as; using expensive and uncommon ingredients as well as odd textured or tasting finished products. It's so nice to have someone write a cookbook that understands the frustration I feel with recipes that don't stand up to their claims. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone, gluten free or not!!

I am the gluten-free person in our household, but everyone in the household absolutely LOVES the cakes and desserts I bake using these recipes. That is a first! I now bake cakes for all sorts of parties and events and people never realize they are gluten-free unless I tell them.

There are so many fantastic desserts to choose from, and everything I have baked so far is wonderful. I started at the beginning and just kept going. Carrot cake: excellent! Chocolate Cakes: amazing. Cheesecakes: decadent and delicious. Boston cream pie: wow! And the biscotti: what a treat for taking with me to work for snacks. The PB cookies are the best I have ever had. And, gluten-free cream puffs that are just unreal. You get the picture.

Speaking of pictures, each recipe comes with a beautiful color picture that is really what you end up with if you bake the recipe and follow the directions. I have made quite a few items from this book, and they consistently come out as shown. The recipes are also easy to follow and they read like any recipe from any regular cookbook. There are no proprietary "flour blends" to keep on hand, but instead each recipe lists the ingredients particular to it and the results are MUCH better than I have ever had from recipes that apply the same ingredient proportions to every recipe. There is a definite focus on maximizing the taste and texture per each recipe.

You will certainly enjoy the results you get from these recipes, and even more important is the fact that you can feed these desserts to ALL your family and friends and they will enjoy the desserts as much as you do. Definitely a quality book.
