I am a Type I Diabetic(Insulin dependent) of almost 43 years.
When I have low blood sugars or hypoglycemic experiences, most appear without warning, and some fall so quickly I become too nauseated to consume food, drink liquids, or suck on hard candies or sugar cubes that would normally be used to increase my blood sugar count. Glucose Gel seems to be the answer to this problem. Recently I used two vials of GLUTOSE 15 mg, 15 minutes apart, to raise an extremely low blood sugar count. (In this circumstance a carbohydrate should always follow to maintain the blood sugar once it reaches a normal count). The GLUTOSE was very effective. In addition, the size of the product is a plus to store in one's pocket, purse, or any other choice spot to keep for such an emergency. The lemon taste is pleasing at a time when it counts. I would highly recommend the use of GLUTOSE. |
