After about a month or so, we've seen steady improvement in my 8 year old boxer's knee problem. It takes a while with steady dosage every day, but it works. Good stuff.

Several years ago our black Lab Roxie tore a ligament jumping/twisting, had surgery and has a plastic ligament in her hind leg. The vet prescribed Glyco-Flex 600 mg and she's recovered all movement. This past summer she must have twisted again and couldn't walk on the other hind leg. The vet said it was a tendon that wasn't completely torn and should heal itself in 2 months if she's kept off of it most of the time. Roxie has indeed totally recovered--no stiffness after lying down as well--and she's an active 7 yr old that runs and plays with Liz, our 2 yr old black Lab that still has a puppy brain. Glyco-Flex has helped tremendously and keeps Roxie's joints in good condition. While recuperating both times she was on 3 tablets per day; but will stay on maintenance with 2 tablets per day for the rest of her life. We never run out of this product!

I have used green lipped mussels for my Irish Wolfhounds for more than 15 years and find that it is very beneficial in keeping the joints of these giant dogs in good condition, especially as they age. Vets have remarked at the flexibility of my hounds' joints, even at advanced ages. Obviously, some of it is genetics, but I give credit to this supplement as well.
