5.0 out of 5 stars I got this CD for next to nothing, April 5, 2004
This review is from: Gnashing of Teeth (Audio CD)
but it was worth much more than that. Intensity! That is the word that best describes this metalcore band. Sometimes they slip into nu-metal and sound a little like Slipknot. This music is fast, the drums and guitar are brutal. The lyrics are very Christian. The production is high. One of my favorite groups right now. The bad news is they have a different lead singer right now. The good news is is that they are still a band. If you like metalcore or hardocore or even death metal you will enjoy this band.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent CD, but not what I expected, October 7, 2000

I got this cd as a free promotion from HM magazine, so I was expecting at least a really good disc, because HM rocks (but then again, it *was* free). The instrumentalism is okay, but the vocals are pretty weak. I'm not sure if this is due to a production problem or what, but the guy's voice sounds cheezy and it wavers a little bit. The instrumentation is okay, and the melodic moments are really cool, but when they get heavy, it's monotonous. The songs seem to be drawn out and to drone on and on. They come across as an imitation Living Sacrifice, just not as fast. The cd isn't that bad though, and the soft melodic moments are a nice touch. My personal favorite track is "Fear is the Enemy."
