About the Author
Thomas Berger, born in 1939, studied graphics and worked in printing and publishing in Holland. He is the author of the successful Christmas Craft Book, Easter Craft Book, and Harvest Craft Book. He and his wife Petra have tried to find creative ways of celebrating the festivals and seasons of the year.

This would be a terrific book for a grandmother or older sister to use with little kids, particularly if the kids like stories about elves or gnomes.The book has instructions and patterns for a variety of gnomes in several different sizes and styles. Most are made of felt with the addition of nuts, beads, pipecleaners and other easily found craft supplies. Many of the projects could be completed by a 6-7 year old with some help from an adult or teen. Younger kids could help by finding feathers, nuts, seeds, etc to be used to trim the gnomes somebody else makes. This book will enable Children to produce really nice projects to use for decorations or gifts. Turn off the TV and the computer and spend an evening making gnomes. You will find that it is truely magic!

The designs in this book are easy to follow, and fun to make. Great pictures, nice format, and inspiring ideas for the beginning to expert crafter. Also recommended is "Feltcraft", which displays a wide array of other felt toys and crafts.
