A Gnome in the House takes place in Gate City, Virginia, a small Appalachian town of good folks who live the simple life. Three children and a dog find a gnome in their backyard. The gnome goes to school with one of the boys and causes trouble with the teachers. Later, he takes the children, a friend of the children, and their dog on a dangerous journey through many underworlds. They visit a fairy's world where one of the children is captured by an evil troll. Gnome is injected with a deadly virus. The children travel on, searching for their captured friend and for the antidote to the virus. They travel through Hades along the way. It is an inspiring, humorous, and suspenseful story of love and patience. It has religious significance, and is suitable for all ages.
