"Here We Go Again"!I have this on tape but not on disc...it's a shame(The Spinners?!)that with all the great songs on this album,it's still not avaliable on CD!"Here We Go Again"! was one of the Isley guyz biggest hits(and one of my favorite songs of all time....and this song is Not on Any other recording but "Go All the Way"!Not even all the 20 odd greatest hits cd's listed right here on Amazon(go ahead---look'em up)!If ANYONE(and I mean ANYONE!) at Amazon or in the Isley's or the record company reads this-- hear this.....PLEASE release ether "Go All the Way" or "Here We Go Again" on cd or at least on I-Tunes or other music sites!!PLEASE!!!

Bring it on back.........,

I absolutley have to agree with the previous reviewer.....I too have this musical masterpiece on cassette tape and it is worn to the bone. It breaks my heart that it is unavailable on any other audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
I am advocating that it will be re-released in the very near future for my and other people's listening pleasure. The Isley's are my favorite group and nothing would make me happier than to hear "Here We Go Again" over and over again.....as many times as I want.

How could you not add this to your already large Isley brothers collection?
Got to have it.

I remember seeing this particular CD on cassette that my uncle had back in the day. I was in junior high school when this album came out, and now it's on CD, it sounds as good as it was on tape. I never thought I'd find this album on CD, but I'm glad I did, and I love it.

This IS the "REAL DEAL",
This review is from: Go All the Way (Audio CD)
I have been searching for this album on CD for years and up until now all that's been available is the cassette version. For all it's worth, the cassette actually sounded very good but does not compare to this CD version which was remastered beautifully. The good thing about waiting for so many years for this to appear on CD means that it's been mastered with the latest technology and it sounds so, so good.
I always loved the title track 'Go All the Way' when it was played on the radio back in 1980 and never heard it again after that year but it remained in my mind and finally I can listen to in stunning sound quality.

The Isley's Go All The Way On a TRUELY Unsung Classic!,

The Isley's 3+3 combo was for a whole decade a huge artistic success and also hugely popular with radio, energetic glittery concerts. One thing that often doesn't get noted is,along with Funkadelic this "expanded Isleys" were instrumental (no pun intended) at helping to build the genre referred to as "black rock"-a unique combination of hard rock, funk and soul that brewed in the late 60's but one too many artists had given up over time. And how conforting that in 1980 the Isley's were still giving it up completely uncut-and succeeding with it as well! Even though this was far from the Isley's biggest commercial success and went unnoticed for years when it came to CD reissues for years this album not only followed up the bands 1979 equally classic Winner Takes All but BETTERED in every possible respect! There are six elonged "Part 1&2" type tunes here, all featuring the best the Isley's could offer at that time. Rather then seperating the funk and rock on the uptempo cuts the two styles meld together for several prime examples of chunky, heavyweight funk oozing out of every corner on the title song and the amazing "Pass It On",where Ronald suplements his gutsy lead vocal with all the adlibed growls, hoots and hollars he could muster. These songs are deeply bassy and bottom heavy in the finest hard funk tradition with Ernie's trademark rock guitar riffs fused within the arrangement to perfection! "Say You Will" brings every one of these elements into play on a more dancable uptempo song that brings out another point about these songs-wheras the previous albums featured tunes that were more grooves then songs EVERY ONE of these tunes were oozing with unbeatable hooks and catchy melodies up the wazoo. So you can sing to them AND dance to them."Here We Go Again"...well this is something amazing! An midtempo tune with a guitar/piano hook that is so memorable that it has been in circulation among hip-hop/DJ samplers from as far back as the previous decade;it's even been the basis of at least one big hit of the day-I cannot recall the name."Don't Say Goodnight" is the one slow jam here and it's one of the Isley's very best-the tune is sweetly sexy, richly composed and full of delicious orchestration. The album ends on another amazing note with "The Belly Dancer"-the amazing percussive tune actually dances in and of itself because the guitar, bass synthesizer and occasional bursts of piano are all percussive;achieving a feeling of funky communalism similar to the kind of music you'd find on the Talking Heads' Remain in Light the same year,of course with lyrics that touch on human physical instinct rather then though processess. This album, even when the tempo goes down on that one occasion is funky as funk can be.And it is truly wonderful to be able to hear this album in fully remastered form rather then have to continue to endure my old scratched-beyond-listenability vinyl copy anymore. By far this is one of the Isley Brothers best releases, certainly close to if not their best of the 1980's and the best possible way to start the new decade for them.

Glad this album finally came out on CD. Have it on vinyl. Only weak song is "Belly Dancer". "Here we go" and "Don't say goodnight" are classics. Last great album with all 6 Isleys/Jasper/Isleys together.

This was one of my favorite albums by The Isley's, and moreso now because it's been remastered and sounds better than ever! Iconoclassic and Sony/BMG have knocked this one out of the park and the ball is still in the air! This one will kill the bootlegs and vinyl-recorded CDs that have been made previously, so if you don't have this version get it NOW!!!
If I could rate the efforts of the labels alone, I would say a 5 star. The rating of the album itself, in my opinion, is a 4 star because of its last song. I've never liked "The Belly Dancer" because, lyrically, it seems to lack effort unlike the rest of the album. If this album didn't have that filler song, it would have been much stronger just letting it end with "Don't Say Goodnight," the album's best song. Not much more I would have to say about the album, except I wish I could had it on CD sooner. Better late than never, point blank. I look forward to getting more from Iconoclassic Records because they did a fantastic job with this and another Isley classic, "Showdown." The additional notes from Brother Chris and the background about Go All The Way with lyrics are included. The packaging is rather nice and it makes this new label trustworthy to Me, plus they stuck with the price of the Nice Price collection usually issued by Sony/BMG. Hey, maybe they can get in touch with The Reddings and please make their collection available. I can't wait to see what they come up with next on their soul choice, hmmmm...

If you love soulful and sensual beats and words, this album is for you. The Isley brothers have been around for many years and all their ballads are wonderful and soothing. If you have someone special in mind and you want to put them in that mood for relaxing and those quiet moments, Go all the way will not disappoint you. This is one of my favorites of the Isley Brothers. You cannot go wrong with any of their albums but I love this one a great deal. My favorite is Belly Dancer and Say you will. Enjoy.
