If your bike doesn't have an electronic cruise control, this is an essential alternative.

If anyone has ridden for more than an hour at a time on the highway, you know that hand cramps can and will happen. The throttle lock that comes stock on many bikes aren't all that practical.

The Go Cruise is an inexpensive alternative to a cruise control and a better choice over some of the other choices that lock your throttle. This one goes on your handlebar grip. That makes it easy to reach. Other reviews said it sometimes will slip or get loose. I never had any real issues with that on my last 2500+ mile trip. Sometimes I had to make micro adjustments, especially when riding up an incline or down a decline to maintain a constant speed. But on a straight road I didn't really have a problem.

I usually keep my hand resting on the handlebar anyway. So I'm always ready to react quickly if needed. What the Go Cruise does is give your hand the needed relief from having to keep your hand wrapped around the throttle while on long runs.

For $20, it's well worth the price and makes gobbling up miles on the slab much more enjoyable.

I have a 2006 Ducati S2r 800. I drive from Utah to Wyoming once or twice a year, and holding that throttle for 4 hours at a time is a killer. Literally kills your hand. This little guy has worked great so far. Put it on and you are set to cruise for a while. Obviously its a bad idea on curvy roads, or in traffic... but heck its Utah and Wyoming. Nobody lives here.

I made a video showing how it works. Look up "3 motorcycle mods for under $20" on YouTube and you'll find my video. My channel name is JerryRigEverything. Let me know if you have any questions, here or there. Thanks!

*****update*****We recently had a chance to trade up for a 2004 Ultra Classic - my wife LOVES the new bike and all it's comfort, radio, CD, and CB and all the doo-dads. I love that she wants to ride almost every night after work now...and we go somewhere each day of the weekends it's not raining. The ISSUE IS...I don't like the "regular" cruise control after having this little awesome gadget on the other bike! I RE-BOUGHT IT for the new bike!

The guys are the local HD shop think I'm nuts...and my CMA club thinks the factory cruise works just fine for them...but I tell ya - this is so intuitive...it's MUCH EASIER to use for me than the factory cruise control. I can use it at ANY SPEED and it gives my right arm the break it needs or wants. I simply use my index finger to set it....and I'm not having to worry if I am over 35 mph, or if the switch is on for cruise, or if I hit the wrong button and change the radio or CD....no thank you...I'll take the Go Cruise for the win, Alex...and I don't care if I ever use the factory cruise control! LOVE THIS!

I've ridden for almost 4 decades. NO bike I have ever owned has had cruise control. My 1998 Harley Road King Police is my current ride.

I've started riding longer distances with my CMA group and this is SO handy. Intuitive to use and simple to install (or remove if you wanted) I think it's just as much a part of how I ride now as a heel shifter.

I broke my original Go Cruise while moving it from one bike to another....my fault, not the manufacturer's. At the time a new player had entered the field with his own version made out of machined metal, a beautiful example of workmanship. Even though his was more than twice the Go Cruise price the adjust-ability allowed you to use it on different sized handlebars. It's also unlikely you'd ever break it so I bought one. Oddly I didn't care for the feel of the new one, it's skinnier and seems to wobble a bit. After struggling with the new metal unit I decided to go back to the plastic Go Cruise and did so without regrets. This time I bought one of each size and I'm certain if I'm careful I'll never break either one.

Item pictured is NOT what I received, however it does the exact same thing and works (what I'd imagine) just as well. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and I can honestly say, it's the best $$$ I've spent on my motorcycle, aside from the pipes ;-)

I would TOTALLY recommend this product for anyone that's like me and has bad carpal tunnel syndrome and your hands go numb while riding quite frequently. This has made longer rides MUCH more comfortable and easy for me.

Works ok, but it does slowly slip causing your throttle to back out. It works well enough to give you the moment I need to remove your hand from the throttle (stretching, adjusting things), but it's not going to work as a 'cruise control' like it should. It ships with a rubber sleeve that goes on your grip and under this clamp, which did improve things, but didn't fix entirely. Probably just going to wrap a few wraps of electrical tape on top of the sleeve and try that.

Works as advertised. I like that I can move this between my bikes, and also remove it quickly when I don't want to leave it on the bike. I use Grip Puppies, so it has a tendency to slip a little when the roads are bumpy, but otherwise works great. I will add though that I did not use the rubber band that is supplied because I didn't want to take my hand guards off just for that. It works great 95% of time without it, so that's fine with me.
