Smooth, soulful ballads and raw bone-rattling funk,
By
This review is from: Go on & Cry (Audio CD)
Bloodstone's Go On And Cry and How Does it Feel are put together in the genre of the Temptations, Isley Brothers with a taste of Stylistics/Dramatics. If you enjoy those four groups then you will love this CD. Outstanding harmony with the voices blending like a rare scotch whiskey. Nite Time Fun and Funkin' Around shows the groups no stranger to getting down on the dance floor with a groove to make you move. After playing this CD for a couple friends of mine I was forced to order a couple more copies to keep the peace. Because no one is allowed to borrow my Bloodsone. This CD could be called "The Actual Best of Bloodstone". You won't be sorry you bought this one. And you can take that to the bank!

Bloodstones from my hometown of Kansas City,Missouri. There the last of the great R&B harmony groups and they are one of the best.We go a long way back is a pure hennesy drinkin, dim lights classic. The true treasure on this cd is the song "Go on and cry ". Here's a great line from that classic--" I had to go to the best friend I had-and that was my mother". A must have cd for the serious R&B group harmony collector of groups from the 70's and 80's.

Some of the last great R&B before the decline,
By
This review is from: Go on & Cry (Audio CD)
Before synthesizers, voice enhancers, and high-techno-crap ruined R&b and took the soul out of soul for nearly 20 years (before the recent newjacks started doing the right thing with real singing and real instruments), Bloodstone made some of the last really good r&b ballads for a long time. "Go On And Cry" "How Does It Feel," and "We Go A Long Way back" is good, sweet slow-jam stuff that played on the radio on summer days as the sun went down and made you think of your first loves.

This is,by written attestment, the one to take home with a bottle of White Zif or Nay. The lady you entertain with this CD is definitely the one for the rest of your life. For a chaser, throw on some Coltrane and see where her mind is at. If she does not feel Bloodstone followed by the Trane see her to the door; she is obviously under age.Rhead

Believe it or not, I am under the age of 25, and many would say that natural high is the 1st bloodstone song that they heard.
well, it's wasn't the 1st bloodstone song that I heard, it was how does it feel? I brought the album and I was truly amazed at what i heard. ol scool r&b at its finest. buy this cd. It's smooth, relaxing, and a must have for any old school r&b fan.

Bloodstone is one of the R&B groups that didn't get the credit they deserved for the songs that they made. Listen to go on and cry. They are singers. NO studio generated singing here.
