Well, I could give you a thousand words for this CD. I have been a big fan of Michael Bolton since 1989, and let me tell you I am a Bolton fan through and through! If you do not have "All That Matters" get it. It will be worth your while.

For once Michael Bolton issued a song that I really liked. Bolton finally sang a song that actually matched that slightly arrogant style of vocalizing that was so popular before the emergence of the boy groups. This song needed it. Bolton turns that arrogant style around and uses it as a plea from the young Hercules in Disney Productions' interpretation of the character. Perceived as a foul-up in adolescence, Hercules reaching manhood wishes to prove himself the hero he yearns to be. Bolton's rendition is brilliant getting this across vocally.

I never liked Michael Bolton's work. In fact I loathed his voice it for its phoniness. Being objective, I suppose that style of singing has its merits in some circles. "Go the Distance" was the first song that ever benefited from this artist's voice in my opinion. The character of Hercules in Disney Productions' underrated animated feature "Hercules" needed the oomph, the unabashed power and energy that Michael Bolton delivered. His voice is not charismatic but it is brazen and that is just what "Hercules" needed.

I believe that the magnificent soundtrack to "Hercules" is out of print. So this is your only chance to get a piece of that music.
