5.0 out of 5 stars Finest Rock Band From Germany Finally Unveiled, July 3, 2000
This review is from: Go! (Audio CD)
If you love rock particularly 80s rock such as Journey, Foreigner, Night Ranger and Survivor. Go and Four by Fair Warning are must-haves. Until recently mostly Japanese fans appreciated their excellent works. Finally the greatest rock band on earth is unveiled to wide range of rock fans around the world.

Compared with their latest album Four, Go which was released in 1998 has more pop rock flavor. Excellent tracks such as Save Me, All On Your Own I'll Be There, Follow My Heart, Rivers Of Love can easily become radio-airplay hits. I call them German version of Journey. They have both German metal edge and 80s American AOR heritage. In no time millions of rock fans around the world rush to buy their CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fair Warning just get better!, December 11, 1999

Mark Scanlan (Nottingham , England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Go (Audio CD)
This, the band's latest studio offering to date, shows their growing maturity, not only as musicians and songwriters, but as producers too, and one can see why they are so highly acclaimed. From the album opener, "Angels of Heaven" right through to "The Love Song" finale, the songwriting and melodies are simply superb. Fair Warning really are a cut above the average, and in a genre overflowing with bands, that's no mean feat! If I had to pick a favorate song it would have to be "With Out You", which shows off Tommy Heart's vocal talents to the max! All in all a fine album, but don't just take my word for it, "Go" buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Last Of Their Best Line-Up, January 27, 2001
This review is from: Go (Audio CD)
Fair Warning is a veteran German hard rock band who scored great success in Japan. Go is their third album released in 1997.

As you can see in this jacket Fair Warning at that time was five man band but after this album release their drummer left. So this album is the last of their best line up probably best in rock history. Album itself is ...I do not find words to describe this. This album has full of great powered rockers and great power ballad with hit potential such as Follow My Heart, The Way You Want It, I'll be there and All Of Your Own.

Although I Prefer Four to Go but as Fair Warning fans tell us "All of their albums are excellent" I only got two of them but I am totally convinced.

5.0 out of 5 stars Melodic rock masterpiece!, August 14, 2008
This review is from: Go! (Audio CD)
1997's Go! was the third release from German melodic rockers Fair Warning, and is probably their best album overall (though their follow up album Four is pretty close). Fair Warning draws obvious inspiration from AOR heavyweights Journey and Foreigner as well as bassist Ule Winsom-Ritgen's previous band Zeno to produce a sound that is exciting and unmistakably their own.

The band started strong with the self-titled debut and Rainmaker, but Go! is where they perfected their unique brand of instantly memorable melodic rock. Everything about this album is first rate, from the insanely catchy melodies to the completely unique guitar sound to Tommy Heart's powerful vocals. The songs are extremely well written, and to me it says a lot that the ballads (which usually have me reaching for the skip button) are just as compelling as the more rocking tracks. I've played this album to death over the years and still haven't found what I would consider a weak track.

If you love melodic rock, you really need to own this album. It's as close to perfection as AOR fans have witnessed since the genre's glory days of the mid 1980's.

NOTE: There is an import version of Go! that features four bonus tracks, including an alternate version of Without You, karaoke versions of Angels of Heaven and Follow My Heart, and the studio track Light in the Dark. The karaoke songs are pretty worthless, but the other two bonus tracks make the import version a worthwhile purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and Great, May 5, 2000

I got this cd last week. It's fantastic. But, I am disappointed why there is no US version. It's too expensive but it is worth to buy this.
