Donald Lawrence is one of the most recognized names in music and his new CD, "Go Get Your Life Back" shows why. This album shows off Donald's great singing, songwriting and production talents(some of the best talents in the music industry, period!!), it also gives the Tri-City singers a platform to display their wonderful vocal abilities.
The album's central message is to incourage those who are going through tough times with the promise of God's blessings and provisions. The album has a wonderful blend of upbeat and funky songs to more melodic and tranquil material to soothe the soul. I would highly recommend this album to anyone out there seeking to uplift God and in return being uplifted themselves.

I PURCHASED THIS CD THE DAY IT CAME OUT. I ENJOYED HIS LAST CD SO MUCH THAT I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT AND WHEN HIS NEW CD CAME OUT, I HAD TO TAKE MY LAST MONEY AND BUY IT. IT IS WELL WORTH THE SACRIFICE. DONALD,IF YOU EVER READ THIS, PLEASE DON'T EVER STOP SINGING AND MAKING TRUE TO LIFE GOSPEL MUSIC FOR YOUR LISTENERS. DONALD'S LYRICS IN HIS SONGS ARE TAKEN OUT OF THE SCRIPTURES IN THE BIBLE. TO THE TRI-CITY SINGERS, YOU ARE THE BEST, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING BECAUSE YOU DO IT SO WELL. THANKS FOR BEING MY FAVORITE ARTIST OUT THERE. DONALD ONE DAY MAYBE WE CAN DO A TUNE TOGETHER (SMILE).

This is an excellent CD. I, as I'm sure thousands of others did, ran out and purchased this CD right after viewing the awesome wedding of Bishop Thomas Wesley Weeks, Jr. and Prophtess Juanita Bynum (TBN). Many of the songs were taken off of this CD...and I MUST SAY, how APPROPRIATE they ALL were. I hadn't even given Donald Lawrence a chance... until this event. I have many favorites from this CD, but of course, THE PRAYER OF JABEZ, SEASONS, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME...are among my favorite favors. If you don't already have this CD, bless yourself and GO OUT AND GET IT!!

I have followed Donald L for a long time & admired several songs but never an entire album. However, this album definitely demonstrated the Awesome talent Donald possess. "Seasons"-great, "Jabez"- Fantastic, "Usher me"- really did usher me,"Go get your life back", invoked me to actually go & get it. Lastly Yes "the Best is yet to come". This album spoke the sentiments or thoughts of many believers that are coming out and getting all that God has for us....Donald Lawrence you really did let God use you in this album for all ages.....oh yeah the leaders to each song just Blessed Me!

He outdid himself with "Bless Me/Prayer Of Jabez" like 1 of the reviewers said found in 1 Chronicles 40. He Prophecies to 2003 with "Go Get Yo Life Back" The up-tempod " THe Best Is Yet To Come" He brings tears to the heart & soul of every christian with "Seasons" I do feel seasons everywhere!

This album is an easy purchase for any Donald Lawrence fan. He is one of the most consistent artist/producers in today's gospel music industry. He should be crowned the Quincy Jones of Gospel having shaped projects and even careers for too many artist to mention (Ricky Dillard, Hezikiah Walker, Karen Clark Sheard to name a few). With this album, he helps define the contemporary standard of gospel music once again. As with every album, he has an "Urban Excitement" portion of the album full of hot contemporary tracks like "Keep on Blessing Me" and the song "Miracle" featuring Arnetta's phenomenal quite vocals (she has a moving performance in "Usher Me" also). In the contemporary selections Donald shows off his producing skills. Then there is an "Anointed Worship" potion featuring a hand full of spiritual worship recordings, which carry the distinction "Live". Two "Live" songs make this album the best release of 2002/2003 (aside from Kirk Franklin's Rebirth). One is the song "Seasons". This selection is vintage Donald Lawrence material, a traditional style song presented in a contemporary arrangement. The highlight of the song is the point when vocals from Walter Hawkins enter taking the song into a new direction. The mixture of Walter, proudly claimed as a bay area artist classic in his own right, and the Tri-City Singers is one worth pursuing for more collaboration in the future. The second song is the title cut "Go get your life back". Anne Nesby definitely takes you back on this one. It's enough to make you miss the Anne Nesby of the Sounds of Blackness. The message is profound. If you can get the revelation of what this song is about, it will make your spirit race threatening tears every time they say "Go get your life back, go and get it... everything the enemy, stool from you". This album rates high among his best project releases and will be hard to beat with his next effort, but I'm sure he will.

Okay, I am DEFINTELY a tri-city fan. This has to be my favorite CD thus far. I seem to say that every time they release one. But I must say, I bought the CD AND the cassette. So, now you know I'm serious about this thang! Initially, I bought the CD for "The Best is Yet to Come" because I had to teach it to one of my choirs. However, after listening to it thoroughly and going through some personal struggles, I was hooked on "I Can't Complain" and "It's Gonna Be Alright" And what better way to encourage someone who's experiencing a valley than to tell them that seasons come, seasons go, yes we reap what we sow, that's life... sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, sometimes we're hurt and abused, that's life...."GO GET YOUR LIFE BACK!" Thank you Donald Lawrence, may God continue to RICHLY bless you with His abundant mercy and grace!

I love the song "Bless Me, Prayer of Jabez" A beautiful song taken from 1 Chronicles 4:10.

This CD is a wonderful ministry tool. Donald really gives the believer something to strive for. I must also state that the unbeliever could be compelled to come to Christ in the same fashion. This project is strictly scriptural melody. If you have not read the Bible, this project will prick your heart to find where something is written. GOOD JOB Donald. All I can say is "Talent" God given Talent!!!

I purchased this project the day it came out and I have been listening to it ever since. Donald has did it again by blessing the listeners with another spirit-filled and anointed project. Starting off with the signature song "The Best Is Yet To Come" with a beat that one cannot help but to get off your seat on began to dance in the spirit! All of the songs on the cd are in their own sense delivering a message. I highly recommend this cd to anyone who truly wants to be blessed. I believe that Donald is going to bless us once again with another project that would surpass all the other previous projects because just like his song said "THE BEST IS YET TO COME!"
