I agree with the other reviewer on this site whose expectations were deflated by the purchase of this dog. I was also disappointed by my purchase. I bought this dog for my four year old daughter thinking that it would be a good 'teaching tool' to help her learn to care for a real dog. Initially she was thrilled with the dog and she played with it all day long the first day I brought it home. Now, here it is only the third day after my purchase, and it sits untouched at the bottom of her closet. You get too little for the [money] spent! You get a dog that moves on wheels with a few sound effects. All the so-called programming is too complicated, and doesn't even work half the time. The dog supposedly comes to you when you call it, but mine doesn't - it just 'rolls' into walls. And it doesn't feel at all like a real dog (or even like a fake dog should). It feels like a plastic car or train covered in fake fur. I hope this helps. About half-price is reasonable for this toy .

I'm thinking of 3 stars as average.
Like many of you, my child wants a REAL dog, so we are trying to compromise on something that doesn't shed so much, etc. :-)
I think I had my hopes up a little high for this toy. I was hoping with newer technology it would seem more real. It is still ok, and I guess you could say that the quirks in how it works are like a REAL temperamental puppy. I was dissappointed to see that it actually 'walks' using wheels. The instruction book has a warning that a child's hair could become entangled in the moving parts, so I guess it's best not to hug it! It really isn't that huggable anyway. My daughter still likes it (had it 1 day), but I actually got online today to see if I could find a better alternative (I didn't). The sensors on the dog are almost like buttons under the fur, so you have to be pretty specific about where you 'pet' her to get her to respond to those. There are instructions to get the dog to stay still for grooming and we haven't been able to get that to work...pet 1st the side then the head, then the back, then the head again..or some series like that. Oh and the fur on the dog's forehead is stiff like it's been over hair sprayed. Overall...cute,but not as 'real' as I'd hoped, not huggable, and be careful about those wheels. I paid 39.00 at a well known discount store 9/03. I know it's gotten long..but here is my 6 1/2 yr old's review: I like the dog, but she never seems to wag her tail and when you call her she runs into the couch and gets stuck. Whenever I touch her she moves away! Hope that helps!

I bought this for a 4-year old (the box says ages 4+), but in my opinion it's a little confusing for a 4 year old. Her older sisters seemed to have a ball with it, but she tired of it easily. The TV commercial makes it look simple, but it's not that simple to operate.
I was a little disappointed. (Especially for $50.00)

Okay, no offense to others who liked it, but it is STUUUUPID. I mean that as in it is brain dead. It's a robot with scratchy wire over its gears. In my opinion, I-Cybie is much better: We have one and have had it for three years and my kids and I still play with it! Go-Go, however, is sitting and collecting dust in the toybox. It is obviously strong, though, because if it runs into walls as much as mine did, it certainly would have broken if it wasn't. But educational...emm...I suppose if you took it apart the kids could become robot brainiacs LOL! But fun is a NOOOO. I have two girls, and 11 year old and a six year old. Neither liked it after the first few hours. Really, anyone looking for a dog that is closer to real, I would recommend something ELSE.

Although Walkin' Pup is cute, you have to work very hard to get it to move more than a few inches. It's not cuddly at all. It seems to respond to any sounds, not just voices or commands. Also, it did not perform all the tricks the advertising said it could (example: chase its tail), despite working with it for some time. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

I bought Go Go for my 5 1/2 year old daughter. It is a cute dog but we are all going hoarse trying to get it to come to us! And you better have the tv off because any and all other noise in the room will interfere with where Go Go goes! It is a cute dog and she does like it. However, my daughter ends up playing with it in the off position mostly. Also, it's bark isn't a real cute sound either. I could have gotten her a much softer stuffed animal for the money!

I received Go-Go a few months ago from my grandma, who came to visit for a few weeks. She bought it because she thinks Go-Go looks exactly like her Shi Tzu, Snow White. She brought Snow White over with a red bandana on, and when Go-Go and Snow stood beside each other, I had to laugh. They actually looked alike!

Go-Go's a fun toy to have. But it's a little bit on the boring side. When the price goes down, I'd reccomend to buy one. I've already been disappointed with my Furreal Cat and kitten I spent a total of over a hundred dollars for both in all. Personally, I think Snow White is funner.

this furball on wheels is so stupid. all it does is bark and "roll" on its wheels. its to much money. i mean come on, [$$]bucks for a heap of fur and a few wheels? if i where to sell it(which i probably would)i would sell it for five bucks. please spend your [$$]dollars on something a little more decent.

I just had to buy Go Go. My daughter wanted nothing else for christmas. I had read the reviews on this website and they were pretty much 50/50. So I decided to purchase it anyway.
When she opened the box she was delighted. It was fairly easy to put in the batteries and the dog began to bark. It was very entertaining except you had to yell at it to get it's attention. It came to you, sort of. I think it just goes in circles. It would whine and bark incessantly and within in the hour we turned it off. It had lost it's luster.
The only reason my daughter plays with it is because we purchased a Smoochie puppy and she has Go Go be it's mommy.
Take your chances perhaps you will have better luck. But definately keep the box so you can return it.

I'll be 11 years tomorrow.I got the puppy yesterday and LOVE it.She is sooooo cute! 6 stars, really, I love it. I read a review before I got her that said she wasn't loveable or huggable, I say IN YOUR DREAMS! I had Fluffy my come here puppy, she was cute, but this is so much cuter!!!
