One of their best!,

This review is from: Go (Audio CD)
This is the CD in my Hiroshima collection that I continue to enjoy since its release back in '87. With the exception of the first track, which is incredibly cheesey, listening to Hiroshima's "Go" is always a pleasure. Barbara Long is arguably the best vocalist that Hiroshima ever had in its 20+ history. "Go" means "five" in Japanese, and rightfully so since it deserves that many stars!

This is one of Hiroshima's best albums in their 25+ year history. The title is japanese for the #5, which of course was their fifth album that was relesed in 1987. One of my favorite tracks by far is "Hawiian Electric". Just think of yourself driving along the streets of Honolulu or Hilo jammin' to this track. My other favorite track is the poignant "1000 Cranes". This song was inspired by a true story that came out of ashes of an atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945. As I read the liner notes to this song it made mention that the girl eventually died of radiation sickness a few days later after she made 644 oragami paper cranes. (To read the story in its entirety, you have to get the CD.)All and all I really recommend this album to add to your CD collection.

This is my all time favorite from Hiroshima. I began listening to this group in 1978. They have rarely disappointed, but have often delighted.

This is another Hiroshima record i wore out!!! another great record from them...strong instrumentals..'Go' is a little quirky but fun...'I've Been Here Before' one of the best ones ever!! 'No.9' is a slamming keyboard fest, 'Obon' has a nice groove, 'Hawaiian Electric' has a nice island groove'..and the wonderful vocal tracks sung by the Wonderful Barbara Long(whatever happened to her??) 'Even Then' a nice laid back groove, '311' this a great fun song I love it! and the beautiful 'Why Can't I Love You'! I highly recommend this Cd!!
