oh what fun it is to ride....
man this is FUN FUN FUN!!!! i use it to scoot around town and its a pleasure! its solid, pretty quiet, and feels good! i got this around the same time as a razor scooter and i love them both but this one is more comfortable to ride, and much better for a casual ride around town or to work. it also eats a bigger chunk out of the wallet so thats a consideration. it folds up pretty well, but its not very convenient to carry around a store since its a bit heavy and bulky. folding it up does make it really handy for putting in the back of a car so you have quick transportation wherever you go. i usually lock it up to a bike rack or phone pole if i go in a store. no regrets about this thing, its great and i love it! nice wide deck too, so you can really cruise in luxury ! please use it in dry weather only, the deck is wood and the tyres slide on wet patches. (trust me!) enjoy!!!

I was looking for an adult scooter and little did I know that they really do exist. This was perfect. A scooter designed for the adult commuter.

Out of the box, it came in one piece. I did not have to assemble it. Just raise the handle and it snapped together. There were no instructions, so I did not know how to fold it back down. Eventually, I found it. Just pull up on the spring-loaded bar and push the handle down. Easy.

The Know-Ped locks in the folded position with a little latch. That part I found flimsy. I don't think the latch holds well unless I am carrying it by the handle, which gives the latch tension to work. Otherwise, it's not much of a latch. Needs improvement.

The scooter is nice and large, adult size. The board has plenty of room not only for me; I can have one of my kids standing in front of me and still be able to ride. I can put both feet together and stand up straight for coasting downhill. That's less tiring on the legs. Nice.

There is the standard rear brake and a hand brake. The hand brake is very powerful. The first time I used it, I stopped so suddenly, I almost fell because the scooter stopped, but my body kept moving. I need to be more gentle gripping it. The rear brake provides a smoother, slower stop, but I prefer the hand brake. Going down steep hills, it's nice to have both.

The scooter feels solidly built. I love it. I wish there was a kickstand. I know they don't usually come with kickstands, but my kids have one that features a kickstand; and I think it's better to have one so I can stand my scooter upright at my destination, rather than lay it down on the ground or having to fold it up.

I've bought Go-Ped scooters for both of my boys (13 and 10) for their birthdays, and they have been excellent investments. They are very sturdy, have a great smooth ride (I've ridden them too) and have excellent control and breaking. My younger son still keeps his beat-up Razor for messing around with and doing tricks, but the Go-Peds are much superior for getting around town. My husband, who is around 200lbs, has also test ridden them and enjoyed the ride. The big wheels are great on uneven city pavement.
