4.0 out of 5 stars A decent camera with limitations
This is a cute little camera that is everything that the ad says that it is. I've only gotten one roll of film back, so everything here is preliminary. My first roll was ASA400, and I got some very nice underwater pics. Other pics were grainy. I'm now trying ASA800.

The good: The waterproof case is fine, and the camera is very affordable. The pictures are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hawaii snorkeling
I guess you really can't complain about much when it some to the price of this camera. The casing is actually really nice. I took two rolls of film while in Hawaii and thought at least a few pictures would turn out pretty well. Not really, it seems that the flash doesn't always work making most of the pictures too dark to see anything. The one good thing is that if you...

I guess you really can't complain about much when it some to the price of this camera. The casing is actually really nice. I took two rolls of film while in Hawaii and thought at least a few pictures would turn out pretty well. Not really, it seems that the flash doesn't always work making most of the pictures too dark to see anything. The one good thing is that if you scan the pictures into a comuter you can fix the color so they do look decent. But, twice the price for printing. Make sure that when you bring the camera under water that you wipe in front of the lens (little bubbles gather in the yellow circle). I have neevr tried disposable underwater cameras, so I have nothing to compare to. It's better than nothing I guess.

The pictures are good, but there is no exposure control. So if the light is good, and you're careful, you'll get good results.

The Bad: The aperture is fixed at f:9, and shutter speed is 1/125. If the user is willing to experiment with various film speeds and gets a feeling for what lighting will work, then you'll love the results. One must be careful underwater as the lighting gets poor very quickly. All underwater photography is like this, so this is nothing new.

For the price, it's great. Just remember that you get of it what you put into it. If you're willing to experiment, you'll be pleased. It's just harder to experiment with a film camera, as you can't immediately see what you've just photographed. I just wish there was a switch to open up the aperture at the expense of close focus.

I use this camera once, but all pictures underwater and on the beach come out very good.No problem at all.
Only if I can shut the power off when this camera in the waterproof box I can save battery power. Othervise it is exelent for the prise.

This is a great little camera! I actually threw it into the pool and it floated. I bought it for the waterproof capabilities, but turns out the pictures arn't too bad either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely happy with camera, September 6, 2007

We are extremely happy with our underwater camera. We have taken super pictures of our 3 year old granddaughter swimming underwater. While some of the pictures didn't turn out it was because we were aiming down at the bottom of the pool. It's not professional quality but at the price it was worth just the fun of playing with our granddaughter.
