Not for anyone over the age of 5,

This game is really boring. Thankfully, I got it really cheap on sale because I'm sure my kids will never play it again.
We are big fans of most sports games like wii sports, wii sports resort, Outdoor challenge games, etc. Unfortunately, unless you are a very young child, you'll grow bored of this very quickly. It is too easy even on the difficult level and very repetitive. If you are looking for a fun family game and you have any children over the age of 5, don't bother with this one.

I recently played this game when I took my two daughters on a playdate and everyone really enjoyed it -- from the sounds to the characters to the games. Definitely worth a try. There were four kids taking turns playing it too, and they had a lot of fun maneuvering through the different street games. I read some of the other reviews and I have to say that none of the kids playing were bored at all -- they ranged in age from preschool to fourth grade.

menu/map - there are good background sounds, but dull music. the map is you running around in 3rd person overhead view of a detailed street to talk to kids in front of various buildings to start a game. barely any non-game starting kids & almost no people, etc. to populate it otherwise. kids only talk in text bubbles as usual.
in gameplay, there are some background movements of trains, bulldozers, etc., no kid voices really except some general laughing if any. the music during game was dull & forgetable. limited customization of your character/kid, almost no accessories. there are only about 6 choices for your avatar/pic/symbol even though that's how the game recognizes you. you may enter your name, but all it says is "player 1" during gameplay anyhow, very lazy. after playing & winning any game, you get no rewards, not even clothing considering there is very limited choices. games: handball - far & high 3rd person view, very hard to gauge where the ball is to your character when closer to the wall. implements idea of kid tossing water balloons as an obstacle & if you hit graffiti pictures on the wall, it gives you flame & ice power-ups. control stick to move, nunchuck to serve & swing wii mote to hit ball. stick ball - didn't bother to play, but uses control stick to move & uses wii mote to swing. pitching you can use A or B button to do fastball or change up & control pad for curve balls & control speed. aiming of throw ball in field with control stick. run to each base with control pad. kickball - control stick to move, wii mote swing to kick (though huge delay). pitch is only A & swing. throwing ball in field is control stick to aim & A button. you can peg out a player (only fun in it watching the kid go down w/stars over their head) if swing the wii mote. running to bases is control pad. street hockey - didn't bother to play, it's 3 on 3, control stick to move, pass with control stick & B. shoot is A (holding A more power). check is also A. speed boost is Z. Jump rope - on the bottom is a picture of the A, B & a pic of 4 control pads with one direction lit on each one. before each jump, one of them will be lit & you hit that button. the red, yellow red lights represent your 3 chances to miss before game is over. soccer - you run between cones down the street, avoiding water hydrants spilling water & skateboards moving back/forth on their own to get to the soccer ball at the end & then kick it. control stick to move & speed up/down. jump is A or Z. you will be told which direction to kick the ball, though I always got "free kick". w/balance board you lean left/right & fwd/back to go faster. tip toes to jump (huge delay & weak jump from character) that's it!! the art detail style is nice, the graphics are at least 3d & not 2d like drawings, but otherwise this game was dull & could be done so much better in many aspects. 3/10

I'm not necessarily a brainiac when it comes to video games, but this game is the worst I've ever played. The individual games are played in a view that you don't know if you are the offense, defense or just a bystander. Very confusing on how to pick a game ... The overall setup/layout is 100% strange! Honestly, if I need to look up instructions on how to know if I'm the batter or the pitcher, to the donation pile it goes!!
