This unit is installed on my RV and has worked reliably and trouble free for the time I have owned the camper (just under 1 year). I never worry about the batteries being ready to go or their being properly recharged after heavy use.

The controller readout is clear; it alternately shows battery voltage charge and current (amps); for example, the display is currently reading 14.3 volts and 2.9 amps, the red charging status light is lit and the battery status indicator shows charging at the top LED position. It is a very overcast day, yet the unit is maintaining the battery in top charge condition.

Since the unit was installed by the RV dealer, I cannot speak to the ease of installation.
