Go Raw Sprouted Pumpkins seeds are perfect for a snack, to put on your salad, to add to recipes that call for nuts, etc. These are lightly salted with celtic salt and fresh and crunchy tasting. I wrote to Go Raw about where they grow their seeds and was told that they are Made in China (aka the chemical cesspool of the world). This is so deceptive. It has a USDA organic label (which is starting to mean less and less) and uses words like All Family Owned, All Hand Made and All Raw Kitchen. No where does it state they are made in China. The reason for this (simply & clear) is profits (good profits since they pay VERY little for them). It certainly is not that we don't have a major pumpkin crop right here in the USA. For those of you who wish to eat a healthy snack, I question these and their deceptive practice of advertizing and not letting the consumer know these are grown and made in China. Shame on you Go Raw.

I bought these with some raw chips and snacks which were wonderful, but some for reason the seeds had black spots and smell and taste moldy, I thought maybe they were just that way. Did some reach and found out. You have to make sure the temperatures are stable when stored so not to draw moisture. I received these that way. I don't know if it happened in shipping or what. It maybe to your advantage to get next day delivery if available.
Sorry for the review. I hope this was an isolated issue.

This is the best sprouted pumpkin seeds I have ever eaten. Being a vegetarian, this is a very valuable product to me. I just wish the product is less expensive, that they offer a better pricing at bigger bulk purchases (20 to 50 pounds?). I hope they read my review. Some people are complaining about "black areas" which are actually the tiny green sprouts/leaves that came out during the sprouting process, and once dried their color concentration increases (darkens) and I guess appears black to some people. They look dark green to me. I had to add this information after reading another customer's concern. And no, I have not gotten sick from eating these sprouted seeds. I love also that they make one feel full quickly. I am ordering more today.

Update: June 18, 2013- After months of ordering this product, the last four bags I received contained a lot more of the blackish/greenish stuff (for lack of a better word)in it. At the rate it is going, the next bag will probably have more blackish "stuff" in it than the actual seeds. I actually tried to defend this product in my initial review (explaining what the blackish "stuff" are). There are also rancid seeds in the last four bags, when I previously did not notice any. The delayed delivery of the last two bags does not even bother me, but what bothers me is the rancid seeds and the ever increasing amount of the black "stuff". I guess I just ordered the last of this product. Sigh!

These pumpkin seeds are a delicious healthy snack.

At the subscribe and save prices you are getting a very good price on these and I'm pretty sure I'm on track to eat about 2-3 bags a month.

I recently ordered these from another vendor ( because I wanted to try before I committed to 2 bags). This vendor is known for having very fresh product. The two bags I just received from Amazon have just about the same expiration dates on them telling me that these are also fresh (I'm cautious about where I buy oils, seeds, and nuts).

Simply put these are the tastiest and probably healthiest pumpkin seeds on the market. That justifies the price in my opinion, I got a great deal on Amazon with the monthly shipment. Great to add to trail mix or daily snack.

P.S. The company that makes these, GO RAW, has incredible line of other products too.
