5.0 out of 5 stars DOWN CANYONERO!!!
Beware. If you buy this CD you'll be singing everything on it and driving everyone mad. Why? Because the songs on it are just so damn good with the maddest lyrics. It's really impossible to decide which one is best because they're all great. How can I possiblely compare Rappin' Ronnie Regan (it always makes the trip go faster) to Canyonero.

Forget the cheap 'Simpsons...

3.0 out of 5 stars Go Simpsonic With the Simpsons
More music from the television show. Basically, this is for completists (myself included) only. It provides no insight into the music or special arragements, merely just the songs like you'd record them off a TV (albiet with better sound). Still, with 53 tracks of classic funny songs, this'll still entertain on those long car journeys.

Forget the cheap 'Simpsons Sing The Blues' CD. This one and 'Songs in the key of Springfield' (both from Rhino) make a great twosome and make for great collectors items. There's loads (perhaps a little too much) of Simpsons merchandise out there and sometimes it's hard to tell what's worth it. Getting this CD is a wise choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Collection of Simpsons Tunes, December 1, 1999
This review is from: Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: Original Music From The Television Series (Audio CD)
If you own Songs in the Key of Springfield and enjoy it, you will enjoy this album as well. The song parodies are there, the theme song reworked as tributes, the witty dialogue, it's all there. I've been waiting years to hear "The First Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence" song on CD. My prayers have been answered. A must buy for even the casual Simpsons fan.

Rhino Records to the rescue...proving yet again that they are the hippest group of music lovers on the planet! After the dissapointing "Yellow Album" I called for this follow up to "Songs In The Key Of Springfield" and, Voila! "Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons" comes along. It is every bit as good as "Songs". The standout this go round is the brilliant "Sherry Bobbins" parody of "Mary Poppins", with all songs complete and intact, even the closing montage! The only problem I have with "Simpsonic" and "Songs In The Key..." is, which one to play. Sweet, sweet Rhino...please do a "Vol.3"...and "4"...and "5"...and...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wait Was Well Worth It!, November 6, 1999

After over a year of delay for this CD, we finally get to hear the greatest sountrack sice Songs in The Key of Springfield. Not only that, this one's even better! My personal favourites are "We Put the Spring In Springfield", "SimpsoncalifragilisticexpialiD'OHcious"(the entire series of songs),"Gonna Paint Our Wagon","Scorpio!",and "The Simpsons Smile Time Variety Hour". Those are just to name a VERY small percentage of my favourites! The 4 extra never-before heard songs were also a great way to wrap up this flawless CD. The only problem with it is that it only goes up to season 9. I would've liked to hear the Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl theme song from Treehouse of Horror X on this CD. That is total nitpicking though. U MUST BUY THIS!

4.0 out of 5 stars I LAUGHED, I CRIED..., November 2, 1999

...and then I listened to this CD. What a hilarious trip - with virtually every beloved Simpsons character from Ned Flanders to Mr. Smithers making a star turn on this nonstop collection of musical-comedy parodies, with many numbers done to the melodies of TV-show themes past, with lyrics chocablock with references both popcult and esoteric (my favorite from the first half of this disc was a lyrical nod to "the extra arms of Vishnu"), this collection belongs in the Christmas stocking of every honorary Springfieldite on your list. The CD, like the show that inspired it, embodies the American pop culture of our time at its best: refusing to take itself seriously, fondly reworking popcult motifs of years and decades past, and cracking a rancor-free, politically-incorrect equal-opportunity-offender whip upon the humorless and self-important in every sphere, GO SIMPSONIC WITH THE SIMPSONS deserves to be the runaway CD hit of the 1999 holiday season. Make sure not to lend your copy - you may not see it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm not a bloody jukebox!, October 7, 2006

This review is from: Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: Original Music From The Television Series (Audio CD)
This is the second CD of songs which were actually featured on the Simpsons TV show. There were two additional Simpsons albums of songs specifically recorded for CD, about which the less said the better. This CD is the real thing. Songs that Simpsons fanatics will recall from watching the show. Great stuff like the songs from the Mary Poppins parody and "The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour". Simpsons fans will love it. Of course, if you're not a Simpsons fan you won't be interested in it, so why are you reading this review?

4.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR ANY SIMPSONS FAN! 1, December 22, 1999
This review is from: Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: Original Music From The Television Series (Audio CD)
Are you crazy about the Simpsons? If so, you must buy this cd which contains mostly songs from the more recent episodes as well as conversations between the characters. With over fifty songs to listen to, from "We Put the Spring in Springfield" to "Happy Birthday Mister Burns," everyone will be able to get a good laugh, even if one has never seen a Simpson episode.

This review is from: Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: Original Music From The Television Series (Audio CD)
The new Simpsons CD covers the great songs from the shows from the last couple of seasons. If you enjoyed the last Two Simpsons CD's especially the "Songs in the key of Springfield" you will love this one. I haven't stopped laughing at it yet. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great cd for any Simpsons fan, January 7, 2000
This review is from: Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: Original Music From The Television Series (Audio CD)
Thank goodness this cd came out - after the Yellow Album and the blues one I feared that "Songs in the Key of Springfield" would be the only good Simpsons soundtrack. This has more of your favorites - from "We Put the Spring in Springfield" to shorts like "Cletus the Slack-jawed Yokel". Absolutely hilarious, and definitely worth the price.

Wow, this is the cd I was waiting for. After being disappointed by "The Yellow Album", this new cd is even better than songs in the key, although both of them have their place in my cd player. Forget about the other two.
