Comparing gloves (4 types),

Boy have I had a hard time finding a pair of weight lifting gloves! My previous ones were simple leather Saranac gloves, not much padding but they lasted for several years. The leather eventually rotted out forming huge holes. But I can definitely say that the Saranac gloves were awesome. Now onto the replacement. I tried four different types of gloves. Harbinger 143 Harbinger 1260 Harbinger 1215 Big Grip II GoFit Diamond-Trac The Harbinger 143 gloves were OK. They didn't have too much padding, but fit very snug and were difficult to get off. Also, the fingers were short. The Harbinger 1260 and 1215 were both unusable due to having too much padding in the palm and knuckle area. The padding is comfortable for pressing exercises (e.g. bench press), but makes it all but impossible to do pulling exercises (e.g. pull ups, curls, deadlifts, rows, etc.). You can try them yourselves, but save some money and take my word for it. The GoFit Diamond-Trac gloves are the best of the bunch for my needs. They have a little padding in the palm, but not enough to interfere with your grip. They are lightweight, so I'm not sure how long they'll last, but I'll reserve judgment on that. They do make my hands sweat, because the neoprene on the back doesn't seem to breathe well. They run a little larger in size than the other gloves. Also, I like that they have a finger tab to help you pull off the gloves. UPDATE: I've been using the GoFit Gloves four times a week for the last few months, and they are very comfortable and showing no wear. So far so good! Please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful.

Best workout gloves I've ever owned,

I had to recently replace a pair of old Harbinger workout gloves. I had gotten a pair of Nikes, and absolutely hated them (they were so slick, I was scared of losing my grip on the bar).Anyway, after reading the reviews of the GoFit Diamond-Tac gloves, I decided to give them and try. I'm very glad I did. They were everything I read about in the reviews and then some. The grip extremely well, yet breathe better than any glove I've ever had. They're easy to take off (thanks to the slightly extra long index finger). I didn't view the video that comes w/ it. The other reviewers said it wasn't very good, so I decided to take their word for it. I heartily recommend them. You absolutely won't regret using these gloves. The only other thing I should mention is that they do run a tad on the large side. So if you typically wear an XL glove, just get a large. If you typically wear a large, get a medium.

I've had these gloves a few weeks and think they're great! I use them for weightlifting workouts three times a week. Not only do they seem well constructed and durable, but they have nice features like a terry cloth patch on the back for wiping sweat and one longer finger to make them easier to pull off. I didn't really have much use personally for the CD, but the gloves are well worth the price.

Picture somewhat inaccurate - padding has gaps,

The padding is in horizontal strips across the palms. When it lines up with the weights you're holding, it is helpful but I've found that to only happen on curls and vertical presses, not standard bench press. Instead the bar settle in between the padding and the gloves are only marginally helpful.

"Best I've come across in twenty years",
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just ordered my third pair of Go-Fit workout gloves. Not available in stores in my area. The best I've come across in twenty years in reference to grip, wear, washability, and quality construction(I workout 5x a week). An outstanding value for the price.

Sizing info would have helped - Men's !!,

Judging by the size range given and the fact that there was no "Men's" or "Women's" in the description when I ordered these I thought these were unisex and ordered medium. I don't have dainty hands, but they're not shovels, either, about 3" wide. The medium is a little loose on me, but I'll keep them, anyway. When I opened the box it stated clearly on the label "MEN'S." Now why was that omitted from the product description here? I'd have ordered small if I'd known that. They feel soft and comfortable and they're vegan and washable, but I'll take off 1 star for nobody bothering to check that the description is accurate and helpful. The padding isn't very thick, which works well for my 20 lbs dumbbell lifting. The padding is not as shown with that sort of swirl. I'm guessing they redesigned it and what I received is better, because the thumb has padding and the 3 individual pads on the palm actually form a complete cover when the hand is curled. The grey is darker than depicted, more of a charcoal.

Great Gloves,

I have owned the GoFit Diamon-Tac Weightlifting Gloves for 6 months and have not had any major problems with them. I use them 6 days a week, for 1-3 hours, with weight ranging from 30-60lbs in each hand. The glove palm and underside of the fingers are very sturdy and show almost no wear. However, the velcrow stitching came undone almost immediately from unfastening the gloves and the finger tab needs to be cut off before use. I find the gloves to be more comfortable when they are open. Sizing appears to be accurate. If you're under 200lbs the large will fit great. Overall the best pair of gloves I have ever owned.

I've been a 5/6-day-a-week gym rat for nearly 25 years now, and I've gone through dozens of pairs of lifting gloves. I think I'm now ready to declare these my all-time favorites.1. The pull tab on the index finger makes these gloves very easy to remove at the end of a workout when your hands are all sweaty. Instead of having to pry the damned gloves off my hand (and usually turning them inside out in the process), this feature helps you pull them off quickly and without struggle. 2. The grip material does what it says - gives you a firm, confident, no-slip grip on both smooth and grooved bars. I like these so much, I just ordered a second pair! |
