5.0 out of 5 stars These are just what I was looking for
I feel like a mean, lean weightlifting machine in these gloves. I have smaller hands with fat fingers but the small fit perfect for me despite my chunky fingers. They get the job done and provide a nice grip when doing upper body. I also like that there is a terry cloth section on the top of the hand to wipe away sweat. There is also a tab on the inside middle finger...

These gloves ended up hurting more than they helped. I took them off after twenty minutes. They offerred virtually no support when lifting weights. There was very little padding. I guess they are okay if you are lifting very light weights like 5 or 10 pounds. Otherwise, stay away from these. I gave them away and ended up using my old worn out gloves which provided a...

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice glove, April 8, 2008
Bought these for my wife. Asked her how she liked them and she said they were a nice glove with the exception that when she did the seated row, the left hand glove moved around on her hand during her reps. They have ample padding in the right areas, and she said they were a good gloves when she does her 50lb. preacher curls.

They protect your hands when you are lifting and adjust nicely. Both Important when you're swinging around a kettlebell. Also wash up nicely.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sliding on plastic, December 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These gloves are all right. There isn't so much padding that it gets in the way and makes it feel like you're trying to get a grip on an even larger bar. That's nice. That said, they do provide enough protection to prevent callouses. Also nice.

So what's the problem? My issue with these is the "nubs" on the palm -- in the pictures, they look like they're there for extra grippiness. In reality, they're tiny dots of hard plastic that actually made my grip slip more. On barbells with gnerling, this isn't as much of an issue, but hanging on a smooth bar for exercises like pull-ups or toes-to-bar becomes challenging. I was originally using a pair of rubgy gloves for workouts, and the stickiness of those was great -- they were just too stretchy, which made my hand slip inside them. So now my hand is not slipping inside my gloves, but the bar is slipping outside. Erg. I'm either going to put the rugby gloves over these or find something (3M gripping material, sticky spray?) to put on them. It's a bummer, when making the dots out of a more rubbery material from the get-go seems like it would have been easy.

I have used these gloves for working out but mostly I use them for riding my bike now. Still going strong after two years! Still love the terry thumbs...great for wiping the sweat off your brow! Definitely worth the money!

1.0 out of 5 stars No padding, ripped in one day, December 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am very unhappy with this product. I used the gloves yesterday for the first time, and noted that palm wasn't very padded. These are simply gloves, and provide no support for lifting weights.

Also, as I removed the gloves after the first use, I noticed a tear along the seam. I am returning these immediately.

I don't recommend these gloves.
