Ends of tie downs do tend to fray but they are made of a nylon fabric and melting the ends with a match will seal the ends and prevent any fraying. Other than this the cover is very well made and durable. I've only had it for a short while but it appears to be strong enough to withstand sun & rain exposure without rotting away in the first year (like my gazebo cover did!) and it is definitely strong enough to stand up to active puppies and older dogs. It really keeps them securely in the pen.

This pen cover is great! I use it at our tournaments when the dogs need to be in they're pen and it provides lots of necessary shade. I even get lots of compliments on it. It is very nicely made, with one exception. You do need to singe the ends of the rope where the clasps are so they don't come unraveled. Besides that one smal detail.....I love this cover!
