He/she should be able to stand up, sit, turn and lie down on his/her side stretched out comfortably. If you buy a crate for a puppy, please get one that will fit him/her as an adult. You'd better buy a crate with divider so you can expand the crate area as your puppy grows. If you are in doubt of size, please opt for the next size up. A crate slightly too large is better than one too small.

The kennel was fine. My bulldog was able to escape several times when we first got it but now it is her happy place. The two doors is a nice touch but I think that it contributed to Maggie's week of escapes. We ended up using zip ties to keep it shut permanently.
All in all (after that week of doom was past) the kennel has been wonderful.

This pet crate works great. My dog is very comfortable in it especially considering he has suffered from separation anxiety past.
