For me this was a major purchase and I did a LOT of research for a suitable cat gym furniture as my cat is 15 pounds and stands about 18 inches tall on all four legs.

Condo, ramp, and top perch were three must-have features... The color was fantastic. For the price the model looked promising; I checked out the reviews for both colors of the F2040, noting all concerns.

I did email the company about the size of my cat- they politely but briefly assured me that each perch supported 20 pounds of weight.

Promptly after placing my order GoPetClub emailed me the tracking number; my item arrived in a timely fashion. Somehow the box was damaged and the base piece exposed (picture provided).

Another note about shipping... the order is calculated at 55c per pound and stated shipping weight is 89lbs, thus $53.80 in S&H. Yet in actuality it is only 70lbs, thus more than a $10 difference.

The instructions were the worst... I've assembled a lot of furniture but this one was a challenge. The blue parts were simple, the screws not too difficult to figure out, but not having the sisal posts labeled greatly increased the assembly time. I tried to color-code my instructions but it was difficult to figure out which size was #43 or #38 (picture provided). There were four of #52 instead of three like the other sizes so that wasn't too confusing, but it took me three tries otherwise.

Once together it looks great! Unfortunately, while the unit is large and supports sizes larger than my cat... I cannot say it is completely comfortable for him. While I was initially hesitant on ordering online, after noting measurements and reassurance from the company, I thought it would work out.

After a couple of weeks the unit still seems stable- even the hanging critters that most reviews said fell off are just fine, despite the fact I think they get the most use. :)

Oreo does scratch at the posts which has great value, although after two weeks I rarely see him interact with it other than to get to the catnip and treats we put out every day to attract him to it.

FYI, I debated rating this a 3 or 4. The shipping and especially the instructions were the negative points; otherwise this product seems good.

first off besides the fact that one of the pieces came broken and the instructions suck the product is great. the worst thing was the service. They sent me the wrong tracking number so I couldnt even track the shippment, then when I got it the directions were horrible and as stated before a piece was broken. they supposedly mailed me a replacement piece but after more than a week I still have not recieved it. then I wrote a negative review and they emailed me saying if I remove my review they will give me a discount but I had to remove it 1st. Its not like they said we are sorry for the bad experience so as a courtesy we will give you a credit for this % they only cared about the bad review. I would NEVER recommend using a skeezy company that will black mail customers to not be honest and I should not have to do anything for them to want to right the situation. I would look for a different company if I were you!!

It is VERY easy to put together, because the pieces twist together. It is extremely sturdy, which means that you will not need to worry about it toppling over.
The toys come off easily.
If you have cats that like to climb, or perch this is a good addition for your household.
I have three cats, and they all love it. My oldest climbs up the stairs instead of jumping. The two youngest cats like to sleep on the highest perches.
I suggest keeping it next to a window, because they will love being able to perch and look outside at birds.
Overall, other than the toys this condo was more than worth the amount it cost. It you really want to see your kitties happy, this is the way to go! :)

"My cats love this. The only problem I had was putting it together.The directions are not clear at all and none of the parts a labled. You kind of have to guess which parts go where. It took me and my brother-in-law about an hour and a half to get it together. The actual product rates a 5 but with the assembly issues i gave it a 3. All in all it is a very good, sturdy product. Im very pleased.

Added entry: After i posted this feedback i got an e-mail from the seller requesting me to remove my feed back. I responded with the old "why" question. they then responded with well give you $10 dollers back if you take tis review off and were extreamly rude for no reason in thier e-mails to me . I an extremly offended by this .Its bribery and its illegal. i will no longer go to these people for further business. even if i gave them an ok review im now no longer satisfied with the review department and i now tack this item down to 0 stars. This cat condo is beautiful and very easy to put together. Our cats loved it and it was a very sturdy product.
We were unable to keep this jungle gym due to the smell.
We have other cat furniture in our house and I volunteer at a cat shelter. This product gave off a very strong smell and my husband and I both had problems with headaches and sore throats. We left the window open near the tower and vacuumed it several times, but the condo continued to give off a very strong chemical odor. After 2 weeks we took it apart and put it in the garage.
It did take a few days to air the room out and we disposed of the cat tower. It was unfortunate because otherwise it is a wonderful gym for the cats.

It was very easy to put together-however its made of very cheap wood and fabric. it smelt very bad and still smells to this day. in the pic it lookS pretty big but its very small and my adult male cat is to big for it.. its better for smaller cats.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM!!!!

I do not recommend it. The top three poles teeter and it is just a matter of time before they all break. The screws are too short or the poles are too long. One pole broke already. I tried to work with the company on getting a replacement pole. After four days of back and forth emails and me sending the picture of the defective pole that I can't screw in (I uploaded the picture), they wanted me to pay for shipping for a new pole and I would have had to pay the shipping with paypal upfront. But I don't think I should pay for that since it's not my fault it broke within a few weeks. It's a good cat tree if you plan to put stuffed animals on it. Forget it if you have cats. I do not recommend the tree and I do not recommend the company.

I read all the review before purchasing, and I was worried about the smell problem. It does have a smell with the new glued carpeting. The smell should go away in a few weeks, and it's not that bad. If anybody has had this condo for over a few weeks, could you comment about the smell?

The reviews about the problem of assembling also worried me a little. Yet, it took me only twenty minutes to put it together. I just looked at the picture on Amazon and had no problems at all. It was very easy, including putting the ladders on.

My cats absolutely love it. They are sleeping on it right now while I am writing this review. The first one to get there claims the highest perch and the other one has to sleep on the lower ones. They play with the mice toys and have a ton of fun with them. They both love the little houses, too.

Therefore, I will give this a five-star review.

Update 6/9/10: I thought everyone would like to know that the smell is completely gone.

Platforms are not level to the ground . the perches are too small for an adult cat to feel safe to lay in. the columns do not screw in properly, therefore the unit does not stand safely. cats do not like a platform that moves. Honestly, this is a piece not worth looking at and waste your money on. If I could carry it, It would have been sent back.

My cats absolutely love it. I only wish I had bought it when they were kittens. It's so tall that my female cat can touch the cealing when she is on the top post.

The only downside I have to say for it was that it didn't come with a screw for the top post, we had to go buy one. And the stairs didn't fit right. My boyfriend had to change it and make it fit. The top box is a little small for my cats, but other than that, it's working out fine.
