Aside from all the software failures, crappy battery life, over heating, expensive accessories, I liked my GoPro. I thought it was a tough little thing. Then the slightest pull on the charge cable broke the plastic connector.

Truth is, this product is way over priced and a real aim to work with most of the time.

Made in China garbage. And support does not care at all about even fixing it. They said "buy another one". Wow. Offensive.

My camera's shutter button stopped working shortly (3 months) after the 1 year warranty expired, rendering the camera useless for my application. This was their worthless response to my problem:

Unfortunately it looks like your camera is out of warranty.

Terribly disappointed in my GoPro.

Chalk another poor review up to an unknown SD card reader problem and poor customer care. My camera's SD card reader died during a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand and I was unable to use the camera at all. I tried working through GoPro's customer service to try all their "diagnostic" techniques (i.e. try a different card, turn the camera off and on again, etc.). Since my camera is slightly over a year old (with probably less than 4 hours of total recording time) GoPro was unwilling to check the device or provide any warranty service, leaving me with a $400 paperweight. They were "kind" enough to offer me a 20% discount if I bought a product through their online store (which seems to be 10% more expensive than anywhere else...), but with the level of customer service I got, there is no way that I would invest my money like that again. Stay away, find a similar product somewhere else for a fraction of the cost!
