I typically mount my GoPro to a variety of devices--car, motorcycle, and paintball gun--and each time I shoot, I like not having to worry about the amount of time I can shoot. Two GoPro batteries gives you around 4 hours of recording, which coincides well with a 32GB SDHC card (shoots 4.5 hours of 720p 60fps footage). I recently used my GoPro camera, 32GB card and extra battery to film a whole day of action, and never had to shut the camera off.

If you want to shoot and not worry about time, an extra battery is a must!

I bought this battery to use as a spare since I already had the one that came with the camera. It stopped working 7 months after being purchased. I already bought another one with the new battery pack accessory, since I don't like having only one battery with any camera. I hope this one lasts longer.

Got it for nearly half the retail. Great price. Works like OEM battery. I'll order another soon. Wasabi's are good too but I'll stick with this brand.

I got this and the battery was less than my dying battery. I got to my heat race and the battery was dead. Waste of money.

works fine. Great having a spare while on vacation. If you have the GoPro, this battery is a good option.

Going for a long hike or outing and you want to capture more of your adventure? Then an extra battery is just want you need.

The GoPro is a great product for what it is but it does have some things that could make it better. One of those is battery life. Can't argue about the life of the battery in most cases. 2+ hours of shooting a HD movie with a camera this size is amazing, yet if you set the camera for PES and want to take a picture say every 60 seconds so you can get a nice time lapse shot of an outing the battery will only last ~3hrs. -I tested this. The fault is that the camera stays fully powered between shots draining the battery.

So if your outing is going to last longer than the battery life you need a solution, this is one of them. What else can you do? I have the battery bacpac and it's also nice to have but it weighs almost as much as the whole GoPro camera itself, probably not something you want to attach to your head. Or you could run a search on the net for solutions and find that some people have been using the expansion port to hack into the camera, but this is still somewhat new and not something that I want to try.

For less than the price of a good 16G card isn't it worth having a second battery?

Good Product, original from GOPRO.This extra battery is very good if you want to surf twice a day. Each charge lasts 1 surf about 4 hours in movie mode

If you have a GOPRO...then you know by now that you have to have a second battery. Totally recommend getting this as it is half price of the B&M stores such as Best Buy. Same as original battery, works perfectly.
