Have had this add-on installed on my goPro housing for 6 months and it is the best solution to the goPro inherent UW blur problem. Haven't seen vignetting in 720P (R3) or R5. Rugged, have slammed it into rocks UW and dropped it on the boat deck without issue. Tried the Flat dome replacement dropin but it scratched and had serious vignetting in 720p 60fps (R3). As with most add on products, a little care in installation will pay big dividends. It comes with a large bag of desiccant balls, pick out the smaller ones as the front glass does depress against the "O" ring and will crush the larger ones in the lollypop groove, not a problem except it makes for a little trash in the air space. Use only SNP tested filters as some they tested, will break under pressure. The screw in filters from SNP have been ground down to keep from vignetting at the wide angle settings, so there's not any room to stack filters or use a screw in lens cap. I transport mine in an old sock to protect the lens and housing.

I guess I have more than 50 dives with my SNP Blurfix adapter, still happy with it.

If you have a GoPro HD and have installed the SNP Blurfix, the old housing fits the newer GoPro2 camera so there's updatability with the SNP product.

One last thought, assemble the front glass at home in dehumidified air.

I was about to head to Hawaii for a vacation and was excited to try out my new GoPro HD Hero2 for snorkeling and playing in the waves. Luckily I stumbled on the "underwater lens blur" issue and was able to order this kit. I looked around quite a bit and I'm really glad I settled on this system. This kit is very well constructed and designed. Plus, as others have stated it gives you the flexibility to change filters. I stuck with the standard filter that came with the kit and it worked really well. My underwater footage was nice and clear and I had no issues with fogging or leaks. Saltwater is never good for any material and I would recommend cleaning the case off in freshwater after each use. The only issue I had with the BlurFix kit was that I couldn't easily swap to my wrist-strap case since it would of required me to swap the whole front lens. I would of definitely purchased two of these for more flexibility in mounting options. Heck, I still might get an extra Blurfix kit just in case something happens to this one. The only other major company with a "underwater blur fix" uses plastic that is glued to the normal GoPro housing. This doesn't give the ability to change cases or even swap out the lens if the case gets damaged. It just looked cheap. The machined aluminum of this kit and the ability to swap the lens to another case is the way to go.

Other than that, this kit is perfect. It was recommended to get a red filter for underwater shots but I've discovered you can easily color correct in post production. A lot cheaper than spending >$50 dollars on a specific color filter. Also, I wasn't paying attention when I installed the lens and had the dessicant beads on the top instead of the bottom.... I didn't notice any issues but I will make sure to install it in the correct orientation whenever I remove it. it should also be noted that it does take a little work to install the kit. this is blurfix KIT - you have to put it together yourself! you will need to get original housing. I would recommend to watch youtube video how to put it together before purchasing. pictures posted by seller are not what you getting. look at buyers pictures. other then this its a great product - does what it says....
